I'm sensing new old stock here, because this thing is immaculate! Not even a single speck of dust. Even has the original factory tags and Japanese Duracell battery. Nice case, too.

You're not saying Japanese Duracell battery means that the bass was made in Japan, right? Cause the names on the factory tag are certainly not Japanese guys.
yup, those are Chinese kanji on the battery which Japanese might also use them (while they are certainly not Japanese katakana or hiragana characters).

I notice they do that on some of the Premium line to add a center section of a different wood to the top, as in the 1800 below.
On this one, it just covers most of the neck so it appears to be a bolt on with a solid 1 piece body.
Congrats! I've used mine for recording quite a bit the last few years. I see it as sort of an Ibanez take on a Spector.
I've always wanted to try the SRT line, but never got my grubby mitts on one. Congrats on finding a practically new one!!
How do the SR505s (wenge/bubinga neck and no mid freq switch) from 2007 compare to the new SR505's with all the new bells and whistles?

trying to figure out Ibanez build hierarchy and what is the first or least expensive SR series model to have the neck-through-neck? preferably in the Premium range...(though I guess that's not likely be least expensive).
found a SR1400Txxx listed in the european market but not in the US.

The SR1400TE was offered in the US until this year.
You can look at their website for info, but as of this year, none of Standard, Premium, or Prestige SRs are neck-through. The SRSC and SRF models in the Bass Workshop are neck-through, but they are a bit specialty.

sorry can't help you man, just bought a year old 4string 1300 and it is something special.
tone, fit and finish are top-notch.
fret treatment really is deluxe.
puts to rest for me the notion that the premium factory in Indonesia isn't up to it!
I have two Ibanez basses. SRF706 that I just got and a Gary Willis GWB35. I think the GWB35 is technically part of the Soundgear series, but not sure. The SRF706 is definitely a part.
