I'm sensing new old stock here, because this thing is immaculate! Not even a single speck of dust. Even has the original factory tags and Japanese Duracell battery. Nice case, too.

yup, those are Chinese kanji on the battery which Japanese might also use them (while they are certainly not Japanese katakana or hiragana characters).The battery has Chinese or Japanese characters on it
No.You're not saying Japanese Duracell battery means that the bass was made in Japan, right? Cause the names on the factory tag are certainly not Japanese guys.
It's beautiful, but that seam at the bottom is kind of strange.
The SR1400TE was offered in the US until this year.
You can look at their website for info, but as of this year, none of Standard, Premium, or Prestige SRs are neck-through. The SRSC and SRF models in the Bass Workshop are neck-through, but they are a bit specialty.
The BTBs are all neck-through, though.

sorry can't help you man, just bought a year old 4string 1300 and it is something special.somebody stop me from acquiring the Sweetwater special SR1305 w/black hardware , please.
