The Squier Mini Precision Bass Club

In my not-very-humble opinion tort is a Marmite thing. (Or is Marmite a tort thing?)

I think this would look great on my bass

Just ordered a new pickguard from the seller in The UK. IN VINTAGE DARK TORT! SHOULD LOOK GREAT ON MY BLACK MINI!:hyper:

I was getting ready to do the same thing (dark vintage tort for one in black). Please post pics when you get yours in and installed, and also comment on qualify and fit & finish. I'd love to see the results and hear your thoughts. That guys really offers a lot of choices (especially nice flavors of vintage/aged/mint), which I really like.

With black just about any of his beautiful guards would be nice. Black on Black is one of my favorites. It seems aged white is the lightest of the green shades while mint green is a little darker. I will definitely keep you posted. Great bass!

My single-ply black guard from him, fit perfectly! Better than the white one that came on my MINI!

Looks great! How do you like the Zero Mod?
These new Zero Mod models (the V2's) have a really nice groove for your thumb, and they are located perfectly for me. The original Zero Mod v1's were good, but this new one is absolutely perfect for me (for a Precision design Bass). I hate having to rest my thumb on the side of the neck, or the pickup frame. As you can see, it fits/works perfectly on my MINI, just the same as it does on my Full Size Precision Bass. PS I just use the factory pick-guard screw to mount it! :)

As you can see the new ZERO-MOD PB1v2-BL mounted perfectly on my MINI using a factory pick-guard screw (or you can use the extended screw included with your ZERO-MOD). These contoured thumb-rests mount almost exactly the same height as the top of your pickup (giving you an extra 1 1/2" to slide forward). So if you're used to resting your thumb on the top of your pickup, the ZERO-MOD PB1v2-BL gives you a wider, more secure resting spot for your thumb and allows you the extra room to slide forward as needed (which I find VERY handy as a Guitar Player who also plays BASS) Zero - Mod MODELS. They come in CLEAR or BLACK and I've personally been using them for the past 3 years. They aren't cheap, but they're worth every penny! (at least to me) They are VERY nice people to work with, and they offer models for most popular basses! Zero - Mod MODELS

I think Volker Kirsten on this thread has both?

Edit / here The Squier Mini Precision Bass Club
Thanks for the pointer. Volker described the J&D sound as 'meh', but then my J&D Mini Jazz was also meh until I changed the heavy, uninspiring stock strings to Rotosound RS77s at which point it took off and (to me) is very nice.

The reviews on the Sunburst version sound quite positive - I think you will have to try one!

I think there in sunny Romford.

That's the one I bought (from Germany by post), and my feelings about the stoke strings (meh) and the RS77S ( :) ) on it stand.

Wish the P came in more colours, but that's probably saving me money.

I'm liking that J&D mini jazz in Surf Green.
Reasonable pricing even factoring in the shipping from the EU.

I just better stop, feeling the GAS coming on!
