Just went to the site and it now says that bass ad is no longer available.
No worries, you didn't miss anything. It was determined that it wasn't a Mini, but a full scale, and a "fake", to boot.
I'm on the look out for a second Mini, in either colour, to experiment with BEAD. I believe that the bottom 4 strings from a Mikro 5-er set will do the trick.
To date, I've only seen one Mini in the want ads. The only reasons I didn't pick that one up was "no shipping", and it was on the other side of Germany. If/when one shows up near me, I'm going to jump on it. (Unless I have a windfall and can splurge on a new one, of course!)
(I asked them twice before they agreed but) Thomann matched the cheapest UK price with free delivery I could find which is £123 + £4 delivery -
- which works out at approximately 140 euro. ($164 US)

Not a fake, just a full scale Squier Affinity P-Bass, as MakoMan had explained to me.
I messaged the seller last night to mention the discrepancy.
He thanked me, promptly pulled the ad, and posted a new otherwise identical ad, stating the correct model.
He said that he was selling it for another absentee family member, and thought that he had found the correct info on the Fender website.
At the disclosure of of that particular point, I immediately felt a kinship with him.
It was not a bad deal, if that bass [with soft case and small amp] was what a person wanted, and lived near Toronto.
EDIT : Must have been decent in someone's eyes, as I checked again just now, and his revised new listing is gone.

I'm churchmouse poor. I needed a significant windfall to be able to get my Mini. Even so, I was hurting (financially) for weeks afterwards. My normal price range for basses/gear is €50 or less. I can swing €80 if I have to, but I'd really prefer not to.
I'm on a 5 day trip tomorrow. When we get to our destination, the crew is quarantined in our hotel rooms. We can only come out to pick up food. Masked up, of course. I'm bringing the Mini P. It fits perfectly in the Gator Strat case. I've even managed to attached the Mono, Tick. I carry my Blackstar Mini Bass Amp and extra stuff in it. I'll have 3 full days of Bass Buzz lessons. I'm starting again, from the beginning.
G19Tony , great looking mini. Your pickgaurd suits the red perfectly.
Also for cases, the very affordable - and pretty decently padded - Chromacast electric guitar gig bag fits our Mini P perfectly.
Regarding the Solo Mini P bass kit:
I wrote to them, sending them the specs of our Mini P pocket, and asking if they would measure theirs to see if we could have a drop in maple fretboard neck replacement.
Took them a while to come back, but - it is not a match. No drop in replacement.

How close were their numbers, and what were they ?
And I forget now, is that Solo a 30" scale ?
The Solo [Maple fretboard] neck may fit something else, such as a Jay Turser JTB-40 or a Harley Benton PB-Shorty.
And has anyone learned the numbers for a Squier Bronco neck pocket ?

Great idea. Maybe Fender will respond to popular demand for a 28.6 INCH NECK MAPLE FRETBOARD.
I don't know how much Fender pays attention to our TALK BASS but I think it is good for them to hear that the Precision Mini has an audience of serious bass players who play the Mini and sometimes mod it rather than their initially intended market of new bass players and younger kids who want to play bass.
The pedal steel player in our band is an excellent bassist in his own right (fretless, 35 inch neck custom bass playing in a country band) and he has been quite impressed with the Mini (we're waiting for Covid to die down before he tries playing mine).
I am continuously impressed by the big sound of this little bass, even with stock strings and my lightweight underpowered Fender Rumble15 (owing to my tight retirement budget and my arthritis knees and hands, though I still dream about 2 15's and 100 watts RMS @8ohms and low distortion from when I owned an AMPEG BT 15-D in my youth) I am really impressed by the big sound from a small bass and how it facilitates a much more free flowing style of bass playing using all my fretboard to create interesting bass lines despite my small arthritic/carpal tunnely hand and arms.
I could imagine a whole Squier or Fender line of super short scale basses with different finishes and pickguards, coming with Precision , Jazz Bass,and P/J varients, Fender sourced flats,rounds and nylon tape strings, and the option of a maple or pau ferro fingerboard all priced for the more modest market. In fact, Squier could have its own exclusive 28.6 inch neck basses using these ideas and maybe even throwing in a fretless and five string option. Maybe the Squirer Mini Line Made in Indonesia could become a cult bass like the Fender Mustang Bass played by the likes of the Rolling Stones. Or maybe this is juast a daydream born from a really good band practice last night.

Wow! They must have finally read the email I sent them!
I notice the nut spec has also been changed to 1.5" on both the Sweetwater and Musician's Friend sites as well.

I messaged them last Sunday morning, asking them to measure the nut width and the string diameters of a Squier Mini-P, and that if they found discrepancies, to tell me, to change their site, and to also notify Fender.
Monday morning I got an email from an actual person with a name, saying that his team was investigating.
6 hours later, he followed up, saying that they had checked, and agreed with what I had mentioned, and were in the process of fixing the errors on their site.
I kept checking the SW site, and sometime on Wednesday, I saw changes.
I had a post drafted to break the news here about doing this, but youse eagle-eyed folks noticed first.
Whether SW would be notifying Fender, he did not say, but being a larger reseller, I would think that SW would see it in everyone's best interest to have accurate info posted, and the same on all sites.
I am not sure how MF found out, but even early on, there WERE a number of sites which I visited, and at least one had the correct nut width listed, but I forget which.
SW still has one of the string gauges wrong on one of the colours pages, but nonetheless, we have significant progress.

For knowing personally some of Fender employees that could benefit from reading TB forums for product development "Voice of customers" type feedback, I can tell you that if they do, it is very much anecdotal. It seems to revolve more around the idea of picking color/model configurations from the past that are most likely to trend since people buy as long as there is a Fender logo on it.
I believe that the need for innovation pushes brands to listen to customers and as much as I love Fender instruments, that is not their forte since many decades.
