Just received my black pearl pickguard from WDCustomPickguards today. I was tempted by the snakeskin sample, but went with this instead.

Oh man - since you blazed the path with them, think there's any chance the rest of us can get one at good price? Their initial quotes to me were out of control.
I just wrote, as well, and asked for a quote on a white perloid. From: Frank

Subject: Replacement pickguard for Squier Mini P Bass
Someone recently ordered a replacement pickguard for a Squier Mini P Bass. You now have a template for the bass.
What price can you now offer for other orders? There are a bunch of people, including me, interested in pickguards for this bass in a widely read TalkBass forum thread about this bass.
The last time I inquired, your quotes were far too expensive.
What price can you offer now, with that template? I will communicate it in the forum, and I will order 2 if the price is right.
Frank
~I'm thinking about these, but I'm happy with my Mini P's sound as is...

I've had these sitting around for over a year. I was originally going to put them on my HB Shorty, but the Shorty uses a non standard size, so nothing ever came of it.

I'm not generally fond of black as a bass colour, but done up like yours is, I might make an exception.
The Power Blades look interesting too, for other basses as well.
I expect that they make them in more form factors than P, yes ?
~
The (discontinued) HB Shorty is a back routed "Bronco" body, it is not the same as the current HB PB-Shorty, which is a short scale P clone. I don't believe many made it to Canada, so I really don't think you'll run into one. Once Pfeffernuss wakes up, I'll grab it and measure.~
Good to know, in case I ever buy one.
What is different about the HB pickup dimensions ?

I didn't measure, but laid one of the Tonerider covers against the Shorty pickups. The covers on the Shorty are about 0.5mm wider and longer than "Standard", and the lugs are further apart. They're a hair bigger than "Standard" on the Shorty, which is counterintuitive.... Once Pfeffernuss wakes up, I'll grab it and measure.

I like the look of the white pearl. It looks classy against the red. Since I have red pearl inlay stickers, I was thinking of going white pearl on mine.FYI: WDCustomPickguards will send you four samples you're interested in. I requested snakeskin, black pearl, black abalone & white pearl. I went with the black pearl, as I already have two basses with white pearl pickguards.
