Anybody wanta see the lineage of the Squier Mini-P ?
Someone in Toronto has a Fender P-Bass Junior for sale, here :

Apparently it is a 2006, and looks the same as a Squier Mini-P to me.
Same specs in scale length and nut width, and same light weight.
The owner does not mention the strings going thru the body, but in the pics, I can see that they do [which should make for more choices of short scale strings which fit properly at the tuners], and that seems to be the only difference, other than the price point and country of manufacture [Mexico].
I almost get the feeling that the strings could anchor to the bridge, though there would be pros and cons to trying that, even if it's possible.
Oh yes, one more difference - it has no tone control.
