I'm looking for a tube for my VenusX, what would you recommend for that (Nathan suggested a 12AT7 or 5751 in the V1 position)? I want to tighten and clean up the low notes on the B string, get lots of punch and attack and some sparkle up top.
I was looking at this:

Is it worth getting balanced triodes and/or low noise/microphonics?
Is it worth spending more for RCA/JAN/???
Vintage tubes involve an element of risk ( and are usually silly spendy). I'd go with the new JJ, BUT you will need a spare, no? Therefore both is the answer, which will drop you securely down the rabbit hole of tube rolling/cork sniffing

Philips (I believe are the same as Sylvania), RCA, Tung-sol and GE also made them.
I'm running a More with my HX Stomp and it just brings it to life, (i actually run it int he effects loop as i like it last in the signal chain but allows me to split the signal with a Cab sim going to FOH/Desk and no sim to my amp) and I like everything running into the More rather than having it at the beginning.
I'm strongly considering going for an FRFR cab.
Side note
I'm waiting on my order from @Pedalnetics which should be with me in a couple of weeks and then I can build my "Does everything 3 pedal board" which I'll post up up when complete.
We are truly blessed to have people like Jason and Nathan in our community, creating incredible products.
And I'm gassing for Jason's MiniDI when it's released!
Ive got the production version of the MiniDI on-print how for photos/posting. It turned out awesome with Sushi's transformer in it.

I get the weirdest messages on Reverb sometimes.

On an unrelated (but more on-topic) note, I decided to take a look at what's been selling and what hasn't in 2024 so far. I haven't made any solid decisions based on these metrics yet, but it's making me think about things.
Are these all fully built pedals or have you included the PCB sales as well, like the Bassdude and Nobelium etc?
Very interesting to see. For what it’s worth, theres about four or five of them that I wish I could buy. The ones high on the list that I will likely purchase this year at some point will be a Finally and either a second UA or a Slampegg. Thanks for sharing though it’s an interesting insight
I'm assuming this is by volume? Which gives a bit of insight into how many items you've sold this year generally.
I'm not surprised by the split, with the most commonly recommended pedals being the three single sized preamps, the more and the finally, I guess the larger format ones are slightly more niche and a bit less impulse buy like?
