My wife actually made me take the night off Last night, and I have every other friday off for my day job so I got 9 hours of sleep. Feeling pretty good :)

Hobby, I still have a full time job outside of this :p full time job takes 40 hours a week, I give about 30 a week to pedals. I like being busy, keeps the brain sharp ;)

6AL5 is dual diode isn't it? I mean it can't amplify, but could be interesting as a clipper?

A certain popular pedal builder BROUGHT ON a very small run of now-highly sought after tube OD pedals based on that tube. My recollection of the clips was that they sounded amazing but I am not one of the lucky few who got one. There was apparently lots of issues with QC of the tubes, upwards of 50% of the lot getting thrown out.

@Sushi Box FX and the whole gang.... Just sharing a little Sushi love.

I was talking about how last night I got out to our studio and got to play on the big amp for awhile. Experimenting with some different pedals - Always interesting to see how things sound through the amp vs the cab sims and DI's, etc. Was running through the pedal board, into a nice tube DI/Pre and into the return of a class D amp and cab. Experimented with some different pre's on the board running different effects. Once again, the London Underground (minitube, PA tonestack) sounded FABULOUS. Warm, full, punchy, dead simple good tones. It makes me want to get the X version of the same pedal. Looking forward to adding the Westinghouse that is on order for this month.

I think my favourite preamp pedal right now is my LU/PA-X. So much so that I might just sell off all of the others. It’s exactly what I’ve been searching for and could easily be an always on pedal for me.

The biggest difference is giving access to more lows than the stock Orange stack. It doesn't make it a drastically different pedal and you can still mostly dial in the same tones, but you can get a bit more low end than stock.

I have a couple pedals that will be going in the in-stock shop tomorrow night, I'm thinking 9pm Central Time. I still haven't had a chance to check over the stuff my friend sent me, but I will for sure have the following:

- London Underground (mini tube): illusion orange finish, purple LED, gold knobs
- Slampegg Bee Pre X: fractured cherry finish, blue LED, blue knobs
- Particle Accelerator (mini tube and SIDE JACKS): full color print/raw finish, green LED, silver knobs

I don't anticipate having anything else up, but those three will for sure be there.

Oh and my LA-1A is still up there :P If it stays up much longer I'm going to open up the box and just keep it.
