The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

You're like the worst secret keeper and I love that :)
I am so terrible at secrets and surprises. My wife tends to get all gifts 1-2 weeks early because I can't stand waiting. I am capable of keeping secrets as long as they aren't exciting ones, if the secret is exciting I just can't hang onto it :P

Yup, pretty much PA clean, maybe a little bit more breakup? It has the tone stack at the end like the LU though, so it gets more first stage gain hitting the second stage.

A worthy fantasy, alas the Blackbird has 3 tubes, and any emulation of what they're doing would be very limited with a single tube.
So I'm gonna want one of these to compare to the PAX, and a Slampegg to compare to the SBVT ... Just take my money!!!

Finishing up the clear powdercoating for full color and raw/simple enclosures tonight, figured I should throw this in. Love the way the clearcoat makes the colors pop.

Dude that's gorgeous. I've never said that about a pedal before.

SBVT is now functional, I'll throw it in the list to get recordings of so I can get it up on the site.

It has a nice punchy clean that I really like and I think is very usable, but with the gain up also gets a very pleasant growl which is more of what I expect based on the SVT demos. The differences between the positions on the mid frequency selector switch are subtle (due in part to my adding extra positions), but definitely audible. Somehow the switches I need for the ultra-lo switch either didn't get ordered or got lost somewhere so I just have a jumper on it for now, but I really dig the sound. Ultra-hi switch isn't dramatic, but there is an audible brightness when it's turned on.

So I'm calling this a win, I'll start getting enclosures together for the May SBVT orders and get the rest of them put together.

Oh this is awesome. I can't wait!! For those of us with placeholders, will we need to go to the site to make any changes?

Depends on what you ordered as your placeholder. If you ordered a Deep Dish then you're covered as they're the same price, if you ordered something else I'll be reaching out in the next day or two to cover the remaining cost. But if you specifically ordered as a placeholder (I think there are 5 for May) then I already have it planned as an SBVT.

Okay cool, I think I ordered a Slampegg and then put SBVT in the notes, so just let me know. Thanks again, I might take one of those plastic bags full of GAS out of my trunk now.

The JC Em demo sounds great. Can't wait to push my skinny strings through it. Sounds good with the bass in the demo. Plan A is smoke my Twin Reverb.
Did I post a demo? I didn't think I had yet. I recorded one on bass, I haven't even recorded with guitar yet.

EDIT: ooooohhhhhhh since the JC Emerald page is a copy of the Dr. Wattson X page with the info changed I'll bet I left the Dr Wattson demos up there. Oops.

EDIT #2: Yup, that's exactly what I did. Hope that didn't mislead too many people, I just went and removed them. I'm hoping to finish recording in the next day or two so I can actually get demos posted, but I keep getting distracted and building things.
