Same here with the Slampegg. Doubt I can hook it up tonight but I'll report back tmrw or as soon as I can. Very excited about it. I'm sure many folks have done it, but I'll likely do a shootout with the Fliptop as well.

Would dropping the last gain stage in the DW significantly change the tone, or just not allow it to break up as much? If it would be a clean-ish Hiwatt preamp, what do we need to do for this to gain some traction?

Keep reminding me. Squeaky wheel gets the grease and all that, if enough people bother me about a project it's more likely to end up happening.

An unplanned project for the wife came up tonight so I didn't have as much time as I wanted, but I'm working from home tomorrow so I should be able to get it done during the day.

In my experience, the Slampegg is comparable to the SV-Pre, more so than the Fliptop.

After a long break, and never having properly put it through it’s paces, I put my Slampegg mini tube on my board. I made an interesting discovery. While the “Bright” switch, on its own, has no audible influence on the tone, when engaged in conjunction with the “Ultra Hi” switch, the change is readily apparent. The last few days it’s been set like this, and killing it.

That's interesting! I thought the Slampegg and Fliptop both being in the B-style tonestacks would make them more similar to each other than to the SVT-style preamp. Will test them all out!

This is based on my ears, and my gut reaction, and possibly ignores design intent.

That is likely how he got the name as he is very fast and an agile climber. One of his favorite spots is on top of the kitchen cabinets.

It's not gone forever, I just need some time to figure things out. I've planned a shareholder meeting to determine the direction of the company for the future that will happen sometime this month, so I will of course keep everyone posted on that.

How's development on Furthermore going?

Really looking forward to it.

I haven't had as much time as I would like for R&D lately, so it's on the back burner. Still simmering, stirring occasionally, but I'm not actively cooking it at the moment.

I haven't put it into the main build doc yet, I'll try to get that done later, but this is the drill template.
