Did anyone else catch the SBL Podcast video on DI's? Ian mentions the Finally for a hot second about 3/4 of the way in:

I've been thinking about this. Despite my earlier comments about really changing things around with the Finally, I think Nathan really is on the right path. A LOT of people like the Finally the way it is. He can already accommodate players looking for a little dirt or squeaky clean by simply changing the tube. Perhaps that should be an option listed right on the website (tube type) when you order.
If he can add a HPF and a separate volume for the XLR and 1/4" outputs while keeping the price and size the same, I think those are good additions to expand the usefulness of the product. If there is room, a LPF would be nice too, but if I had to choose one or the other, I'd take the HPF.

I'd pick the LPF, personally. To me, that's more useful as a rudimentary cab sim.
But then again there are people, my self included, that have external pedals that accommodate LPF, HPF, drives, IR’s, etc, that just want a simple Tube DI and the finally is it. I use it for IEM so going to an amp and having fixed or separate XLR paths matter not.
I recommend not to change a thing with it as I have around 100 shows with the finally as is. Just like ordering a burrito, everyone has different tastes and wants different ingredients, looks like the same is true with Sushi.

Going to try to get some more things into Ian's hands to try out.I think the separate output controls is a solid idea, but I'm starting to lean away from adding more features. One of Finally's big selling points is the compact size, and there's only so much room on the face of the pedal to add things without a) interfering with things on the circuit board and b) looking goofy.
I'm down to my last three circuit boards for Finally so I've already ordered more, and I decided to order the existing design with no changes and stick with that for a while longer, but I also ordered a small number of prototype boards with a separate volume control for the XLR output, so I'll get a couple built up and get them in the hands of some testers and get feedback.
Yes, in my case I've tried several different setups and find that I really just love the sound of my P with flats directly into the Finally with nothing else in line. It really captures the sound of my bass and just adds a little saturation and natural compression and I'm happy.
I bought the Slampegg thinking I'd push it into the Finally, but I found that in my situation the Slampegg comes into play when I'm using provided backline and want to get more of "my sound" into the rig. I actually run Tuner > Finally > Slampegg with Dry Pass selected on the Finally. That allows me to send my bass to FOH and then use the Slampegg into the backline amp to assist in dialing in the sound without screwing up the FOH signal.

Still just a prototype, and waiting on one more part before I can finish testing it, but I think the enclosure came out rather well. The printer has been doing a lot better since I put in the new water pump.

So the top switch is the bypass for the 1/4 output? That works for me. The other switch is a LPF? Is it similar to the old Ultra Lo?
It’s looking great, definitely planning on getting one.
Top switch is a bypass for the 1/4" output, and the other switch is actually a fixed HPF like the rolloff you see on the Noble. I played around with the circuit a lot and decided to leave off both the ultra hi and ultra lo in the interest of space as I felt like they didn't add as much to the usability and flexibility of the pedal. The 6SL7 tube is already huge, then once I added the D.I. I lost a lot of room in the layout, so I had to prioritize what I felt would be the most important and most useful to the most people.
If it’s a HPF, I think the line is going the wrong way. It’s currently showing a cut to high frequencies, not low.

Ha! You're both absolutely right, I wasn't paying attention when I put the artwork together. It's just a prototype so I obviously have a chance to fix it before it goes further, but now that I'm aware of my mistake it makes me want to sand it down and fix itLooks cool! Only sand down the HPF indicator and have at it with a permanent marker.

You could alwasy just fit a LPF filter instead!
Well I tried to ignore it because it's just a prototype, but it bothered me too much I'll have it fixed within the hour.
