Prestige. If that is the case, what are the advantages of going HW?
5.6 Meg input impedance would be fantastic for doubling with Double! @Sushi Box FX would the proposed GS have a tone stack bypass similar to UA?Follow up…
Is the input impedence 5.6Mohm?
Is so, is there a pre-order I can be at the front of the line for?
Famous last words I know… but based on my experience with the Slampegg for upright, I’m most likely going to liquidate a ton of sh!t, possibly even my amps and just run a Grand Slampegg (and a powered speaker if needed.)
It was not my intention to put one in as the design is pressed for space internally, though it would add some gain back in that we're losing on the tonestack and could help with the low output level. I'll think about it.5.6 Meg input impedance would be fantastic for doubling with Double! @Sushi Box FX would the proposed GS have a tone stack bypass similar to UA?
Wouldn’t that just be a Finally?!It was not my intention to put one in as the design is pressed for space internally, though it would add some gain back in that we're losing on the tonestack and could help with the low output level. I'll think about it.

Basically a Finally with a 6SL7 and a HPF, yup.Wouldn’t that just be a Finally?!

Nice flan!Do any of you Sushi Box players like flan?
I had some of the most incredible Flan today and the “Flanlimiter” might be the limiter you see in the future.

What ever you run into that amp is going to come out of the DI. I am assuming your bass has a preamp in it. You will be adding another one on the board that has pretty high gain. You might run into some feedback. Double check the pickups and your power supply to make sure that is not it. You may just need to dial in your preamp on your bass flat and make sure it is not boosted. That may help, but that is all a guess without seeing and hearing it.
Yep you are on it. So I have the darkglass preamp that Spector an darkglass made for the euro model. I’m not a huge fan of it. Tbh it’s giving me more of the Korn or primus sound. It’s not the actual darkglass is a proprietary one but it’s based off their preamp. I turn the mid slider in the Cavity almost all the way down cause the mids make it blah to me. We looked at the wiring we there was some minor loose end which got most the extreme buzzing to go. The sound man that really knew what he was doing dialed me in no problem.
But he did mentioned my signal was hot or feeding back when I when more to the treble or front pickup of the bass. None the less a little dialing and it’s okay. I know it’s going to add some noise for sure. I guess l am wondering will the pedal, tighten up an allow me more clean tube feel a focused treble to cut. While giving the slight breakup a sound of tubed growl. The Alembic pre sounds so nice. I like what the Elricks sound like as well. It’s just a more clean focused sound with a slight growl.
Idk why but one of my trusted bass techs mentioned that adding all this will really only be heard on my cabs not really in the FOH as much as I think going through the DI an that going to the PA? I maybe missed a point he was tryin to make but it didn’t make sense cause like for example my fx pedals “envelope filter”‘works when I play it on an off going through DI? Not sure what was meant there
The amp di has a pre/post but that is either pre amp EQ or post amp EQ. What goes in the front of the amp goes out di. He may be confused. Now, if you run the board into the effects return rather than the amp input, that could change things, but I’m not sure. If you have a Darkglass pre in the bass, I don’t know how that will play with pedals as those have a baked in sound even when set flat. Can you bypass it and run the guitar in passive?
