@Sushi Box FX I'm sure many will be interested in the Single Slice, a dual tube optical compressor does sound like a tasty Slice. I can confirm that the double tube pedals have a richness that is hard to beat based on my experience with the MORE, JC Emerald and BassDude.

Bassdude was basically a one-off. It was a preamp I was considering (Bassman, thus the name) back when I would build anything and everything. I liked it, but not enough to formally put into the lineup, so the prototype I built up for testing ended up with @bassbrad as it was a preamp he had been wanting.
I love having it for the rich clean sound that my other preamps just don't quite and I have a '67 Bassman amp as my only house tube amp with the matching but modified 2x12. The UA is more versatile and quite close, the Slampegg Bee is a more common "vintage" voice but that Bassman amp was used on countless recordings and was often the 'house' bass amp if a B15 was not in residence. Paul McCartney and David Hood of the Swampers for example recorded extensively with this amp.
I don't have the strength, money or patience to deal with a vintage Bassman. I will have to settle for my Bassdude plugin for Reaper recordings or the UA I have ordered for my Rumble 100 Combo.

That's actually a good point, a Bassman preamp could be a good DIY project.
I know UA and Bassman aren't the same beast, but there's enough tonal overlap that I don't foresee carrying both at the same time. But it doesn't cost as much to carry a bunch of different DIY projects, so keeping Particle Accelerator and adding Bassman would be doable for sure.
