Yep, it goes through a Leslie, just a second low pass output to go to a bass amp to fatten up the left hand for trio gigs.

thanks! So the PAX is the tubeless version? I’d definitely love to find one with a tube in it…

PA mini tube - original design, used 6N21B miniature tube

PAX - later design, used full size 12AX7

I never made a Particle Accelerator without a tube.

As @Sushi Box FX stated the PAX uses a 12ax7 tube.
Brief history: originally Sushi Box offered a line of mini tube preamp pedals and you will occasionally see them for sale. He then offer the same designs in a 12ax7 as an option until that became the standard. Those early pedals were also side jackers but then top jacks became the norm. In the early daze SB also offered custom colors as well and laser etching, he now offers them on rare occasion. Most of SB offerings have been tube oriented with a few exceptions like the Echosaurus Delay, Fluffy Kitten and Robot Butterfly seen in the Archives

IMG_20240221_145413885.jpg These are my 2 mini tube pedals a side jack custom color PA in Candy Apple Red and top jack Stealth Black Slampegg Bee. Mini tube pedals offer a slightly warmer tone but there were occasional issues, one reason for moving to the more robust and replaceable 12ax7 are the potential for switching or rolling tubes for tonal or different gain factors.

Yup, PA has the tonestack between the two gainstages, UA has it at the very end after the second gainstage.

I have found that putting the UA before the Sashimi, bypassing the TS, and cranking the gain on both gives some very nice and smooth fuzz, if anyone wants to mess with a unique fuzz combo. If you engage the sag on the Sashimi you will get crosstalk, though (which may sound cool to you).

I have not been following TB in the last few months so I am sure I missed it, but is there a rough ETA for Furthermore, SBVT II and Grand Slampegg?

I sold a bunch of pedals including my Darkglass Element (used as a DI) and UA and I am needing a more "All in One" replacement so I'm thinking Furthermore.

In hindsight I should have kept the Element and put a Dreamcatcher in front of it.

I sold my Slampegg early last year in prep for the Grand Slampegg, also a mistake in hindsight :D
