The Weirdest Song You've Ever Heard?

I haven't heard the record in probably 15 years or more but I do remember Skinny Puppy's Last Rights to be pretty ****ed up. It's like they wrote parts of songs on their own and then tried to piece them together. It was kinda messy and dissonant. Not in a good way. Obviously a lot of drugs was involved... At the time it was some of the weirdest music i'd heard. Not sure how i'd feel about it now.

Any bass player with a penchant for the weird really NEEDS to check out the 1994 album by Diamanda Galas and John Paul Jones.

My impression of Diamanda is -> 5 octave vocal range, perfect pitch and bat sh!t crazy!

Would you have the chops to pull off this gig??

Awesome album. Least weird of the Surfers' catalog though.
Very true! I just thought folks would be more likely to check it out with the JPJ link. Honestly some of the BHS "music" sounds like they turned on all their gear, banged on it a bit and wandered off for ten minutes. I think JPJ made them at least make "songs". So, yeah, least weird but most coherent.

I have this album too. She is crazy! Voice is amazing. The bass riff on Do You Take This Man is killer. Her voice is so good.
