I'm definitely not trying to be political here. But I was fascinated to learn via this mornings news that playing songs from this "list" is becoming an accepted way of attempting to disperse crowds. A sonic fire hose if you will. I wonder if how this makes the songwriters feel? What songs would you blare from a loudspeaker if you needed to disperse a crowd?

I just heard "We Built This City On Rock and Roll" on the car radio. I remember playing that song in a top 40 band I played in back in the 80's. I liked it then and I still like it. What do you haters hate about it?

Regarding Metal Machine Music:

I can honestly say that a good friend and I listened to all 4 sides straight through on its release.

To clarify I have listened to MMM a total of once in my life all the way though. For nostalgia I did listen to the sample found on the Lou Reed Box Set-again only once.

Huge Lou Reed fan by the way.

I can honestly say that a good friend and I listened to all 4 sides straight through on its release.
