Things I've Learned On Talkbass

I've learned on Talkbass that moderators somehow like to lump economics with politics. So that if a thread becomes about economics or business, it's suddenly "political".

I think that has to do with economics being so closely related to politics. Each political party thinks different economically so when someone disagrees with an economic problem, it has a political reason behind it usually, or it least it can. They probably just want to head off the impending "you're stupid, no you're stupid, well mine is bigger so na na na na boo boo" fest that those threads tend to become.

I've discovered that some bass players cannot read, spell or write in complete sentences and that conditional words such as "if", "and", "or", and "then" are very confusing to many.

I've also learned from such people that I am in fact, a troll.

The llama is a quadruped which lives in the big rivers like the Amazon. It has two ears, a heart, a forehead, and a beak for eating honey. But it is provided with fins for swimming.

Llamas are larger than frogs.

Llamas are dangerous, so if you see one where people are swimming, you shout...

Look out, there are llamas!

Each political party thinks different economically...

Not really. They think very much alike - at least, in this country. There are nuances but the mainstream ones fall in the moderate range while lesser parties fall within the moderate range as well with some arriving farther on the fringes. Change a couple-few policies/beliefs of one and it will be largely identical to another.

I learned that 90% of people here only play rock. ( not me )
I learned that you have to lock with the drummer ... like it is only the bass that lock with the drummer ...:rollno: ( I don' t buy that philosophy )
I learned that a bass solo is wankery, only root playing simple rythm and locking with the drummer is permited. ( I don't buy that either )
I learned that Rush, Beattles and The Who are Gods and no one make better music for bass player. ( I don't like any of those band )
I learned that Fender clone like SX are so much better than any 2000+ bass. ( nah, not a chance )
I learned that a Pbass is the bass for any style of music. ( I never had a Pbass and never will )

LOL. Rock, root playing, P basses and SX basses get knocked on this forum every day, too. What you really learned is that a lot of people have different opinions from yours, and some of them are obnoxious about it. That's life.*shrug*
