I've learned that

1. No matter what you post someone will come up with some meaningless exception to your statement
2. Any thread about Jaco ends badly
3. Every bass player, no matter how mediocre, has a following, so you can NEVER say, "so and so isn't that great" without starting an argument
4. Many of the so called "experts" think that knowing something allows them to be rude and confrontational

Having said that, I think that the vast majority of the people are on this forum to have a good time and exchange ideas. There are just a handful that are full of themselves and seem to be trying to ruin it for the rest of us.

I've learned the only noticable difference between a supporting member and a registered user is an avatar.

There are more differences than that, but mostly yeah, we pay for the avatar.

And I learned about a decently made affordable brand named SX which I had not ever come cross before joining TB

Along those same lines: I've learned that people have drastically different ideas what "growl" is.
