Things that annoy you

Pretty much. I shower and shampoo in the usual way, and don't get decent lather. It doesn't feel clean at all. Rinse, repeat does some good, but not as much as I'd expect
Yes! I used to get a good, rich, thick, luxurious lather, but now I get a thin, unsatisfying film of suds.

Plus, my hair got weird. It used to grow in flat and lie scalp adjacent. Now it's all poofy and wavy and sticks out all over. What's up with that?

Also, when I take a break from TB for a few days and have to read through 5 pages of crap before I can post the stuff that annoys me.

Edit: I didn't read through those 5 pages... whoops!

I think all commercials for prescription drugs should be taken off the air and not allowed from here on out. Who are the targets of those ads? Doctors? Not likely. Hypochondriacs? Yes.

And while they're at it, get rid of products created specifically to bill Medicare. Like electric scooters. First it was those. Then it became the knee brace. Now it's a back brace. As soon as folks see they can get a brace for that pesky ache FOR FREE (yeah right), they're on the horn and a shady doctor scribbles his Hancock on the Rx, and Medicare is soon buying that Hoveround mom always wanted.

One of those companies recently got called on the carpet for Medicare fraud yet others keep popping up.mpretty soon, ED will be covered by Medicare and available to assisted care facility residents everywhere! BOING "Hey look over here!"

Having my daughter put in the middle of divorce issues. I have not talked to her at all about the details that my wife is arguing about, but that means she's getting one side of it. The bottom line is that I am the Grinch, and I stole Christmas, her Christmas performances, and Christmas dinner. Now she doesn't want to talk to me. That annoys me.

Kids that think the world owes them something. Working with one of them now. I try to remind him when I was where he is 20 years ago I did whatever was expected of me and learned as much as I could. In short be a sponge!

I fully agree, and some of those ads are so outlandish! Buy this crap for your toenail fungus, however side effects may include heart disease or stroke, lung cancer, diabetes, uncontrollable shaking, nausea, constipation, insomnia, hot flashes, depression, asthma, hair loss, and may cause suicidal tendencies.

Exactly! Sometimes the side effects are as bad or worse than the ailment!

My most recent peeve is an ad for a drug called Opdivo. It's supposed to possibly add a few extra weeks to your life if used instead of chemo. The side effects notwithstanding, after watching two close relatives pass from cancer, I'm sure neither one of them was interested in hanging out another two weeks, let alone with all the side effects added to the condition that's killing them.

The city of Seattle is taking out entire blocks of street level parking for 'mobility improvements', which means making more room for bicycle riders.
Why am I annoyed?
Because the mofo's on the bikes aren't using the lanes set aside for them. They still drive in the street and generally disregard stop lights and other basic traffic laws until it is to their advantage to do so.
Oh, they're new lanes so the bicyclists don't know about them you say? Nope, not it. It's easily noticeable that they are bike only lanes. They have white painting on the street as well as green painted stretches of the lane as well as barriers blocking cars from entering the lanes.
So here we have entire lanes on already over crowded Seattle streets completely empty, no one using them at all.

Lazy non lames who take the elevator to the 2nd floor. (Not really that annoying, just seems like a waste of an easy chance to get a tiny bit of exercise)

There is an eight story building that I frequent the second floor of. There is always a long wait at the elevators, and I feel bad about getting off on the second floor, but here is the problem. The door to the stairway opens from the inside, if you are exiting, but every time I try to get in, the door is locked from the outside! I would happily take the stairs if they would leave the damn door unlocked. That annoys me.

You could jam the bolt in the open position, but you are compromising building security to do so. I guess the fire department has a passkey, know any firemen? or a janitor?

I bike commuted to downtown Seattle from the suburbs for almost 20 years. That being said, I was quite aware that I was using roads I was not paying for (at least when I rode my bike) and did not expect drivers to bend over backwards to make room for me. I preferred they just ignored me. I quit bike commuting because cell phones and texting made it too dangerous. I also left Seattle for rural Kentucky six years ago. The reasons were politics and traffic. I lived there for 46 years and hated what it had become.

This summer I was there for one of my daughters' weddings. The traffic is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than when I left and it is clear what is going on. They are trying to get rid of *private* cars altogether. The signs are obvious.

I'm so glad I left that cesspool.

How's that "big dig west" coming? ;)
