A jazz club I go to has had a few organ trios. The last one had this.View attachment 7448459
I was speaking to the keyboardist after the show. He said his Hammond usually stays in the studio.

STILL! Who moves it?I mean, we do our gigs with an actual Hammond B and a Leslie cabinet. You don't see much of that anymore.

It's a team effort.STILL! Who moves it?
Moving my mother from our family home of 40 years. I was doing the final walkthrough to make sure that house was cleared of 40 years of our stuff. The only thing still found in the house were those discs.
One of us kids (maybe me) had one of those.
So, a fake Hammond surround with a modern synth inserted? Pretty cheesy if you ask me.A jazz club I go to has had a few organ trios. The last one had this.View attachment 7448459

There's speculative reports on the web about tire companies developing retractable spikes. Could be one of those "flying cars are finally here" stories. At least not in NJ Studded snow tires View attachment 7449289
Yeah, they've been talking about those for decades. Don't hold your breath. There's speculative reports on the web about tire companies developing retractable spikes. Could be one of those "flying cars are finally here" stories.
Where I live humans have been more challenged in the 21st Century with two dimensions. I can't imagine the inevitable carnage when adding a Z-axis.I had a popular mechanics magazine from 1960 that talked about flying cars coming soon.
Right. And it's not like the air traffic controllers are already overworked.Where I live humans are seemingly even more challenged in the 21st Century with two dimensions. I can't imagine the abject carnage when adding the Z-axis.
We saw an old rerun of Wonder Woman the other day. They had a basic avocado green rotary phone in her car as a car phone.
Did the same with a Mustang.View attachment 7435885

There was a Monkees tribute band, I can't recall their name, that had gone to great lengths to get not only period-correct guitars, amps and drums, but also the clothing and other props, but when it came to the organ, instead of a Vox Continental, they used....you guessed it, a generic black plastic modern "synth" on an "X" stand! The keyboard guy never gets any respect. So, a fake Hammond surround with a modern synth inserted? Pretty cheesy if you ask me.
