This is what happens when you seek fame before talent...

He's a good musician that made a mistake only difference is he did it in front of millions where most of the people complaining only get the chance of doing this in front of a room full of drunks. He's a young millionaire musician I think he'll recover most of the girls in the audience could care less what note he hit.

A lot of people did notice though. This is making the rounds and is freaking hilarious. Somebody already transcribed the solo and called it microtonal..

Honestly, I understand the pressure of these shows firsthand, but it is really hard to blow it that bad. I mean, it takes serious lack of ability to not be able to recover out of the first poor note selection.

Yeah...not just clams, but clams oreganata...

Watching the clip, I wonder if he was worrying about his blocking on the walk over to the mic, and lost focus on his playing. Guessing he was supposed to get to the camera for the closeup, pause, and then continue moving up to the mic.

Added: Yeah, just watched it again. He was supposed to go down a few steps on the way to the mic. You can see them in the long shot at the end of the clip. When he hit the bum note he was right on the edge of the top step.

Like I said earlier, yes, we all make mistakes. However, to do it like that on something so simple and on a stage so big without at least TRYING to recover, IMO that's just not good enough to be on that stage singing next to a chick that looks and sings that good. This may be a wake up call for him but I hope it's a wake up call for all these young guys thinking they can make it big in an industry that they think only looks at image when their fans deserve better, much better.

Seems plausible and the recovery was almost there until he butchered the very last note. He totally stopped at the stairs as if he was supposed to do some big cheesy jump and then thought "nah...I'll finish the solo first. Wait...how's the solo go again????"

Yep, he obviously didn't do his homework, or he would have been able to recover it, good musician or not.
