This is what happens when you seek fame before talent...

It's hilarious that a guy is this upset that people are ripping on a Jonas Brother playing guitar. Hey, some of us HAVE played award shows and understand the pressure. It's not always jealousy to laugh at something, and you need to be pro enough to power through any situation if you are going to be up there.

Maybe consider how there are monster players all over that awards show who didn't get a spotlight solo, but should have. Instead that guy gets his "I'm little Wayne I can play guitar too and skateboard! I'm multi talented" moment and blows it. It's great karma really.

Says the completely anonymous internet guy who of course has played those award shows and understands because he's been there. Unlike the rest of us who have never played any high profile shows. Yep...

Exactly.

Regardless of the millions of imaginary defenses and excuses one could come up with, when you get to that level, it is reasonable to expect a musician to execute better than that and recover quicker when missing a note. The guy lost his place, choked, and imploded. Poor baby needs a hug, sure, but that doesn't alter the perception that he is out of his league with that kind of stage and audience.

May I present the poster child of this phenomenon, well, the latest one anyhow...

Seriously though, how in the world did they not know he would totally blow that solo, and why didn't they have some 30 year veteran of the industry playing that solo? My heart aches for this generation.

A friend of mine made a play-through video for it :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I dont really get the point of this thread. He messed up a guitar solo....the way it was going i dont think it would have been a great solo even if he hadnt messed it up. Point is he's not a great guitarist, its not his strong suit; Theres different aspects to musicianship.. Im not familiar with his music but i'm pretty sure he's a songwriter. Maybe he's bad at that too...who cares?

Music isnt about putting others down. The comments about "he didnt even try to recover"...how do you even know what was going through his head? So whats your point OP?
The most ridiculous part is that you're generalizing an entire generation of musicians based on a performance of mainstream watered down pop. There are entire movements of amazing new music all over the place.
You guys seem old and cranky. Take a nap.

I'm not that old and I don't need a nap, but thank you for looking out for my well-being.

Anyway, if the point isn't that obvious to you, or you just decide to take it the wrong way and take it personal like so many others do, here it is: For someone to play in front of those cameras and in front of that crowd, on that stage (I feel I've said this 5 or 6 times in this thread already) that is supposed to celebrate excellency in Country Music, I honestly think he owes the fans and the people in the audience an apology for his obvious lack of either care or lack of preparation for that gig. Now, I have no idea what or if there were any technical difficulties and/or physical or mental breakdowns. However, all I do know is that it started out as a nice, melodic solo and ended up a train wreck. YMMV

I can't believe the number of people on here dissing a fellow musician. Like any of us are perfect and beyond making a mistake (regardless of the size of the stage). Is it humorous? Sure! It's happened to all of us. But diss the poor guy? May karma bite all of ya right in the a$$. :rollno:
Really? Cuz bashing is 90% of TB. Better than you? Bash em. Worse than you? Bash em. Better gear? Better bash. Worse gear? They're obviously dingdongs. ....

No one owes you or anyone else anything.

I hope none of your mistakes get posted on here and judged like this. What is the TMZ? Geez...Some of you have some serious growing up to do. This guy might have been involved in a project you don't like in the past but remember this he is a human along with the rest of us. I know it's insane to think but famous people have feelings too!

This comment sums up how I feel about it completely.
