I think the first I heard was "All of my Life" - a nice Beatlesesque song. "To Love Somebody" reeled me in, and this one sealed the deal:

I love Maurice's bass playing on this one, too.
It's in mono, which is perfect because I was mostly hearing everything at the time on my transistor radio.

Agreed. I’ve been hanging around for more than six years. I couldn’t agree more. The Mesa Club is also a congenial place.

There are definitely other good clubs, but this one is my favorite.

Looks absolutely fabulous. Even 'though I'm a bit obsessed with "correct" pickup positions that new version doesn't look bad at all and U'm sure sounds as good as well.
In that position it could even work with a ring.

Somehow it (the neck PU position) reminded me of Bent Saether's Stavem T-Bird even 'though it has Bi-Sonics (or Dark Stars):

Sure ya can. Get some contrasting wood and fill in the top of the routs so it looks like an artsy design. If anyone asks, tell them you got it from Joe Bouchard of Blue Öyster Cult.

That sounds too much like work. It was hard enuff putting in the screws on the PG. Must've tooken 15 minutes.

Well, my brother and I had our first noise session in... a year?? maybe more??

First, I am impressed by how much we have forgotten. Second, I am impressed by how much we remembered.

Both of us are not entirely up to speed. Somethings that were easy before are now difficult. More practice is clearly needed.

In terms of physical limitations; I am adjusting reasonably well to the new wiring. My biggest problem is that I can't mute the G string when playing G on the E string. I need to come up with a solution. Probably something like this:

I am open to other suggestions anyone may have.

Good news, is that the session was reasonably long, so stamina is good. Strength still needs work. And I really need some lighter gauge strings on the standard tuning bass. 105-45 is good for D standard; soft and floppy (ahem).

I think I’d have to watch both hands when you play to have any suggestions. My instinct says mute with the left hand.

Do you still have them? Some mono albums Beatles albums can be worth some money if they’re still reasonably playable.

I'd like to have "Fresh Cream" CD in mono. It might be on the deluxe edition 'though.
"Axis: Bold As Love" sounds great in mono (I have the reissue vinyl).
