Thunderbird Club

I hate all three. But my experience has me hating Newark most and LaGuardia the least. Driven in part probably by familiarity - knowing the quirks and way around (physically, logistically, and spiritually) of each.

But the most miserable airport on the east cost is Boston Logan. Apologies to anyone who likes BOS unless you are a Bruins fan..
My daughter is stationed out of Logan. She says it isn’t all that bad. Have you ever flown to San Diego? Worst of all the major airports in the US.

Yes. I hate SAN. No direct flights anywhere - you always have to connect to get to somewhere. Packed first thing in the morning. Insufficient capacity when there is an event in town (BIO leaps to mind). But it is my most hated west coast airport. Logan is still my most hated on the east coast.

I suspect that your daughter has made peace with Logan for its quirks and challenges (physical, logistical, and spiritual).

I'm originally from Mass and yes, Logan sucks, I think they just keep adding new additions onto the old additions and have created a giant maze. I can blunder my way through it but feel bad for anyone flying from it for the first time. Miami Int is no picknick either but at least they have a train there and people can give you coherent directions, no one can in Logan.

I was a trumpet player when I was a kid, always loved Herb. (and this album cover)

But this guy was better, my private lesson teacher told me to listen to him, BIG sound.:

I have a copy of Whipped Cream & Other Delights. I bought it at a thrift store. There is always at least one copy in every thrift store across the US. That and the South Pacific movie soundtrack.

IMHO - anything under $2000 for a pre 2000 Gibby in excellent condition is a good price. Post 2000 Gibby $1500ish unless it’s a special run (gold anniversary, 2015…) in which case add another one or two thousand bucks. Post 2000 Gibby NR $1500 to $2000 new or used. Bicentennial $3000 to $4000. 1960’s model $5000 to $10,000 depending on condition. YMMV
Sign of the times. I’m so glad I got what I have when I did. I need to update my value list for the wife just in case…She actually mentioned that a week or so ago when I mentioned the ‘21 NRs are now $500 more than what I paid.

I used to find some great records at the Salvation Army, for example a mint double LP of Frank Sinatra live with Count Basie for 2 bucks but that was before the current resurgence in vinyl, now it's all Mantovani and stuff like that.

See, the Herb Alpert cover just encouraged me to wear women's clothes..............

Did I mention what an awkward child/adult I was/am?

There's an Italian restaurant in Kentucky, right on the river across the bridge from Cincinnati (can't recall the name) where RainMan was filmed (the toothpick scene) - anyway.., they had these every booth juke-boxes. I loved it. We'd always punch in Tony Bennet and Dean Martin singing classic Italian pop songs. Going to dinner there we ended up getting the surliest waitress there more times than not... it became a thing dealing with her. :)

Been there many times. In fact I had lunch there the day before the shoot. Interesting little place with some interesting employees.
