I've played through their cabs before but never a head. The cabs were all really nice. Considered buying one. With all those knobs I'd likely freeze up figuring out what to do. Seems everyone that has those loves them. I would love to play through one. It wouldn't like it, but I would. Wonder why they (and other great amps) never really got as popular as they should have? I know the big names are something people chase. I like my Ampegs because of how they sound. I'd play a $100 Behringer if it sounded like I wanted.

Those were the beginning of the Andy Fields designs. They were ahead of the times. Fender was so scared of the competition that they bought Jeff out and closed production. Andy is now the brains behind Mesa. And Genzler re-emerged with his highly regarded Genzler heads and cabs. Andy still services the Genz Benz amps as a side job to his Mesa gig.

Honestly, my wife and I are taking care of her 94 year old mother and can't really leave for any length of time. I like it here, lots of positives but I've wanted to go back for a while now. Those things do sound good, not a lot of treble but they sound huge.
