Uh, no. And those Kustoms were massive cabs. I actually thought I wanted one back in the day. Took three guys to load and unload. I had a Kasino 2x15 and two of us could barely load and unload the thing.

I had a '73 P bass at one point, I was playing in a band and had my '73 4001 as a primary player so I picked that up as a second for 300.00 maybe 350.00 in '78. I remember thinking "everybody has one of these, I guess it's time I did", I kept it for a year or so but just didn't get on with it - It was an Ash(?) body with a Maple neck, and as I recall a bit heavier than my Rick, I'm certain somebody somewhere treasures it, but I just could not find a way to gel with that bass - I really am a Gibson Girl.I remember buying 70s fender's and generally wanted to change the pickups, and often did. Likely the low point for fenders from my experience. Neck pockets often had large gaps that pics wouldn't even stay in.
I always wondered if the rear wing actually did anything. Not exactly the same, but this is what mine would say if had more money than looks.

Good advice, just stay away from PillO’s special watermelon elixir, it’s a pretty seedy concoction.Man do I feel for you. You need to hop the border, get it taken care of in a few months, then get out!A drummer I used to play with had shoulder surgery and he was miserable before and a while afterwards, but once the recovery was making good progress he felt much better. I hope you can get what you need soon. Take PillO's advice--he knows what he's talking about. His thinking may be questioned in other areas, but he's spot on here.

Yes, but only above 150 MPH, roughly. There was even an adjustment to fine-tune the angle. This car (and the Daytona) was so good NASCAR banned them.I always wondered if the rear wing actually did anything.
I thought he knew this.Trust me, we do!![]()

Studios, and their little sibling the Thunderbird short scale, are set necks like the NRs.I agree, but we are talking Gibson here. Keep in mind it’s a neck through with a unique headstock. Might be easier for Gibby to use the same 35” necks for both the 4 and 5 string and just drill tuning holes as needed. Again, just a guess.
I wonder if Safelite carries a replacement.I believe it - would hate to know what "replacement cost" would be.,..
I’ve not tried the flats. Not realty a flats kind of guy except for Chromes on on of my P basses and EBCFs on the Goth. But I’ve said before, they’re all I use on my acoustic guitar and I love the Power Steels on a lot of my other basses.FWIW, I tried the SIT "flats". Far less smooth than EBCF's. Took 'em right back off.
looks good with that stance. Although I prefer the original bonnet (hood) line. Is that just to lol different? Or needed to clear a different engine?
We didn’t get any Pacers assembled here, AMI were not interested and passed on the Gremlin as well (except for one they built as a taste test). It as getting close to the end here, by 78 all local Ramblers (AMC) and Triumph sedans were gone and AMI switched wholly to Toyota.
I wonder if Safelite carries a replacement.

I remember about 5-10 years ago, you could not give away a 70’s 7ender. They’d be $1500 max. I was just going through the classifieds to see what’s out there these days, and 70’s 7enders are now $3000-5000 and selling!!! What the fvck?!
Jeez. The horror. You’re not getting near any of my Thunderbirds.Popped that extra wood out in no time with this.

Ah come on. I love them on my ‘13 NR. They last a long time. And they feel smoother (to me anyway) than the SS Rotos.I think I will not be joining the SIT cult just yet.
1 June L&M's 'Monster Days' sale begins. RS66 (various gauges) are going for C$23.99 (usually C$30.75) so I will be stocking up a little.
A few other things of note:
@Gaolee - sousaphones are not on sale
Plastic trombones are C$25 off (kind of tempting)*
Electric Kazoo C$5 off*
* I don't really need either, but the ability to annoy others is priceless...
100%I vividly remember people here on TalkBass slagging 70's 7enders and proclaiming that nothing would ever convince them to buy one because they were all heavy and they sucked. I am willing to bet that some of those people currently own a 70's 7ender.
I have an Australian Pontiac G8 GT, a Holden I think in Australia?
