I’ll defer to your expertise. This is the label:

We have “Methylated spirits” here. I never can remember whether that’s the same stuff or not.

I think you guys call it ‘denuded alcohol’ or similar. Anyway street people have been known to drink it when they can’t afford proper drink.

I could write a fair bit on this topic but won't. Anyone who really wants to know can read the reader's digest version hidden below.

Inhibition of D1 dopamine receptors reduces the swallowing reflex (ahem) and results in the accumulation of saliva in the mouth and thus drooling.
I studied for my RN license with the readers digest.

Yeah, and I don't get it. Everyone knows tube watts are louder because the sound gets amplified by bouncing around in the tubes. I don't know why those crazy interweb myths persist. You'd think farcebook would fact check that with their experts.

Another internet myth I would like to dispel is the one of the people saying that these new dinky little amps sounds as big as a 100 lb behemoth, of course the heavier an amp is the better it sounds!

Sounds great! Better than some bands I paid good money to see.

Thank you, that's nice to hear. Those guys are good though, it's easy to sound good with them. (I'm not really this modest, I stole that from Gene Simmons ).

Actually I like him, he seems like he'd be fun to hang around with..

Heavier amp + heavier cab + heavier bass + heavier strings = heavier tone.

It makes sense if you think about it a little... But not too much.

I've been using Brave in recent months. Not a fan of Chromium based browsers, but I adjusted. I have nothing to hide, but have a strong dislike for most big tech companies and often their opinions they think everyone should adopt like lemmings.

I use that one on my old Mac that’s my music computer.

Sounds like it would be the same stuff.
I think 99% isopropyl would clean strings just as well.
It’s cool that we have chemical engineers, (and other engineers) here to keep us from spreading too much misinformation!

Of course. I see you get it.

Well, it likely does sound better for those of us who prefer tubes over transistors! Not that they can't sound good, they just don't sound tube good!

Methanol is tough on paint. Not sure about other finishes. When I was racing using alcohol injection, I had to be careful filling the tank.

While we can all make light(pun intended)of the tube vs solid state 'controversy'; at 76+, playing for people 60+ who can't hear the difference-or care-and while I think the best sounds I ever got were my 67NR TBird>my 63 piggyback Bassman, the less weight I gots to schlep inandout of our one-nighters the better.
IF(big if)I was doing a steady gig where I could leave the amp there(like my 50 weeks at time gigs in Miami-in the 70s/80s), I'd prolly have a big ol' tube head-at least 100W-and 2-or more-2x12 cabs. Plus the Kasino. And if the frog had wings, he wouldn't bounce his arse on the creek bank. I'll stick with my 3 Rumbles(Rs 40/100/200c)which weigh a total of ~72#.
