Stiff felt "jazz picks" (these days they seem to be known as "ukelele picks") are what I started out with when I was learning, and I still have a bit of a fondness for the sound.
But I never liked how quickly they deteriorate, and all the white-ish dust they leave behind, when used with roundwounds.....

The ones I used were bigger (in three dimensions) and triangular. Very unwieldy. Slow.

Something I did about 4 years ago back in Mass, I used to do fill ins for the house bass player at a local jam which was a three piece, the drummer and keyboard player are the two members present here. I probably learned this tune at home on YouTube or something. I've played with all these guys in bands at various times especially the guitarist who usually gets a better sound than this but the band is yelling at my wife who was in Lima at the time. I doubt any of us have ever played this before. Tony Franklin Fender fretless, 70's SVT with a PR-410HLF cab. I usually bring a Fender to an unknown situation. This is the same afternoon as the other video I posted last week.

Great groove, sir! Solid band. Diggin it.

My experience with medical marijuana has been that those promoting it are mostly (but not all) marijuana enthusiasts rather than medical enthusiasts. Same with those promoting psychedelics for psychiatric conditions.

I haven’t gone down that pain control path yet, but those I know that have turned to MM sure swear by it and are constantly offering me some to try.

While we can all make light(pun intended)of the tube vs solid state 'controversy'; at 76+, playing for people 60+ who can't hear the difference-or care-and while I think the best sounds I ever got were my 67NR TBird>my 63 piggyback Bassman, the less weight I gots to schlep inandout of our one-nighters the better.
IF(big if)I was doing a steady gig where I could leave the amp there(like my 50 weeks at time gigs in Miami-in the 70s/80s), I'd prolly have a big ol' tube head-at least 100W-and 2-or more-2x12 cabs. Plus the Kasino. And if the frog had wings, he wouldn't bounce his arse on the creek bank. I'll stick with my 3 Rumbles(Rs 40/100/200c)which weigh a total of ~72#.

When I was posted to northern Ontario, many of us worked in town in the evenings a day or two a week. So I would often see prescriptions from the same people I worked with during the day. A common complaint/symptom/diagnosis amoungst the locals was "The Pain"; i.e. patient comes in and states "I need something for The Pain". The Pain was a chronic condition with no cure but could be kept in check with adequate supplies of narcotics.

I partook of a lot of non-M M back in the early 80s. Did again in the mid-90s, then got enough of it finally. Anxiety and the advent of children/fatherhood helped me drop it, and I didn't miss it.
In recent years a herniated S-1 and crippling pain had my doc recommend CBD oil as a conservative run at relief (rather than a risky needle near the affected nerve, disaster if not done just right), and it worked. Into the second bottle one morning I suddenly realized I was pain-free. Been about 3 or so years now.

The question will be how to get the glue under the crack without making a mess of things. There are hairline cracks that run from that major lift onto the top of the horn. Don't want to end up having those lift too.
