CP is Classic Pro, in essence as close as you can get to a modern Gibson Tbird sound and build without spending all the money for a Gibson. If you see a nice used one for less than $500 just buy it. They are discontinued now so prices are starting to go up.
Sweet! You’re gonna love that amp. Keep in mind you have a hybrid amp there with a SS preamp on the front end (volume control) and a tube power section (master volume control). You can get some really interesting saturation by just barely cracking the volume and cranking the master or by cranking the volume and just barely cracking the master. The power halving switch also plays into the saturation level. Also note the number 1 input and number 2 input on each channel are different. One is for passive basses (#1 IIRC) and the other is for active basses (#2 IIRC). Great amps, love my HD150.
I did but have since recorded over that recording. A few months ago I did post sound clips in this thread of the Korean Goth compared to several other birds. Most everyone that commented ranked the Goth sound as 1st or 2nd favorite against a Greco, a 2013 Gibby bird, a 2015 Gibby bird and the BlingBird. The cap change is quick, cheap and easy and the difference is night and day, really opens up the goth.
