Thunderbird Club

You recall at the first meeting we discussed "mutually assured destruction" You don't show mine and I won't show yours.
You have my word on that. But does that include the one with you riding the chandelier with only your chaps on? That was impressive. You set the record of staying on longer that the cheesy 8 seconds like supposedly real cowboys.

With Gibson, who knows?

But yeah, re-seating the ferrule should have fixed the ground wire back into place.

As long as it's making good contact with the metal of the ferrule, the exact position of the wire doesn't matter over much.
And it being moved around a little may have helped make better contact.

It being a K car, it didn’t last long though did it? “The car that saved Chrysler.” More like the car that saved their dealers because of all the service work those things needed. The turbos were the worst.
Thankfully, she didn't drive it too much. So it outlasted a lot of them, which isn't saying much. When she got to the point she couldn't drive any more, the car just sat there because nobody wanted it. probably wasn't running.

...When my Eppi stud lifted I tapped it back in, lasted about a day. Then I used the wood glue and toothpick hack. That lasted a few days. Then I used gorilla glue and toothpicks, came out after a couple of days. So I said the heck with it and bought a Hipshot bridge and modded it with countersunk screws, that was two years ago, zero lift.
Holy cow. I know there is a a lot of pull on those, but I would have thought the gorilla glue would have worked.

I will only mention that "The Claw" does not have such problems. Which must have been why they upgraded to the newer "improved" bridge style. (Sarcasm.) The Claw had a problem, but some crazy Thunderbird tinkerer invented a fix.;):D

I had a 73 fastback. When the windshield wipers started getting slow, it meant that the spare tire needed air. Fill up the spare and the wipers worked properly. o_O:confused::wacky:

Friend in college had one. Such a stupid design decision. You can have windshield wipers OR you can have a spare tire, but not both.

So.......The "spare room" is filled with basses.

Two bass rooms, as I recall...

For me the limiting factors are space - I have a nice music room, but it can’t hold much more than 22 basses and 6 guitars, even with some in cases. Plus I often have a few instruments I’m repairing.

And not to be morbid, but having been an executor two times in the last couple of years, I am seriously starting to think about what my family will do with all my stuff when I kick the bucket.
Selling a few instruments is one thing, but assuming my daughter would keep a few, she would still be looking at selling 20 or so. That’s a fair bit of work!
Maybe pre-arranged sales with your fellow club members, assuming any of us outlast you.
