By the way, anybody noticed that thread reached page 11000?

Is it just me that thinks that Jack White is an over-rated player and that the White Stripes had little if any interesting music?
And all this time I thought it was just me  It seems like everytime I hear someone ramble on about How Great "WS" are, the only thing that can POSSIBLY be better is "Jack's Solo Work" :roflmao:
And of course I wouldn't even bother to debate being that said individuals were rather "determined" in their beliefs, nice to know I can find a degree of sanity no where else then among my fellow TB Lunatics

So I'm placed in front of a brick wall , blindfolded and a cigarette dangling from my lips and I scream .... " I can't stand Bob Seger !! " What happens next ?
You get sent to re-education camp and have to listen to rap until you submit.

I liked a few songs but didn't see the fascination. Kind of like with Bruce (I sing about dreary pictures of work I've never done) Springsteen or Dave Matthews. Compared to that I'll take Bob.

I believe @dagrev is referring to parts of the US where it is mostly legal to marry members of your family and disputes are settled by exploding stills.
;)
Well, there you go again....It's not that you're wrong, it's just that so much of what you know about Kentucky just isn't so. It's just not true. We would never settle a dispute with valuable stills. We are not heathen. :smug:

When a friend was in the Marines he would run into people (generally from up North) who really thought people went around barefoot and didn't have indoor plumbing. At first he thought they were kidding. And people think we live under rocks!

Not just a north vs south issue. I lived in Louisiana from 80-82 and when they found out I went to Cal, they always asked if we still had riots.

As requested, pics of my 2019 Gibson Thunderbird Bass - Heritage Cherry Sunburst (actually built in December 2018). The pics can't do the red tone justice I am afraid. One of the pics was included in the case as it passes inspection at Gibson and the certificate it written.

You can also see the tbird in action in the recording studio as well. It plays like a dream and I was surprised how unique it sounds when I put on DR Hi-Beams to extend its tonal range; common advice was that I would never get top end out of those pickup. Common advice was very wrong.

And also, the requested pic of my Sunn concert bass head. Don't know the year but I suspect it's from very early production. Thanks for the interest and my thunderbird number!
Common advice on Thunderbirds is often bogus. While modern bird pickups are darker than old bird pickups, they're not really dark. They're just heavy on the low end with less zing.

I like some of each of their stuff, but none of them are in my top 100 or whatever.
