I, too, seen no pic :(

Weird. It works on my PC. Again:

Also, no pic in this one

Is mahogany stable enough to leave it in one piece? I know often some material needs to be cut in smaller strips and glued (making it even smaller), with every other piece flipped to prevent warping, with some woods allowing for larger or smaller widths.

I know...
Honduran Mahogany is quite stable. My 68 EBO’s body is one piece.

May be the first time I've seen (vicariously) a new NR being played in the wild.

But he changed the pick guard to black. Looks good in the pic.

From what I could see on his IG, he might've gotten it that way from Gibson, as he also has a second NR that's black with what looks like a black pickguard :wideyed:

Today is my 38th anniversary with the current wife (she hates it when I say current). She’s obviously a keeper and very supportive of my many expensive habits (as I am of hers). Poopsi and I at a recent cattle branding…

She’s a Flamenco guitar fan, so she’s asked me to start working on bass accompaniment for that. Definitely different, but fun to play.
Congrats George!

Odd detail I noticed - on the T-bird IV the guy (his tech?) is holding... the black plastic bridge-cover spacers are screwed into place, w/o the cover. Never seen anyone do that before. I have those original bridge & pu cover spacers for my '64 but never considered screwing them in like that. Maybe used as finger rests?
Or the tech didn’t want to lose them?

Gibson:
No custom shop basses! Unless you know someone, then we might arrange a one-off. But no custom shop basses!

I don't think any of their instruments were not custom....I thought for the whole show that the guitarist was playing a black/dark colored guitar -- turns out it was clear, and hollow, and filled with what was probably, given the context, meant to be fake blood. Or alcohol.....

That red T-bird sounded pretty awesome though, suited the bass-heavy Thunder Kiss pretty perfectly

No Tbird logo on the guards, so I’m assuming they’re aftermarket. But that black on red looks sharp.

Congrats George!
Thanks, was a wonderful day yesterday and it’s been a pretty good 38 year run as well.
