And thanks to @dukeorock for the sale! Bass and case were as advertised, and it was well packed. (No surprises, just noting.)

NO on the Gibson. Unless you just like that sound better than more vintage.Man I’m close to pulling the trigger on the Epiphone Vintage Pro unless someone can entice me with another Gibson 2004 era Thunderbird with the Ebony board and slim taper neck…anyone know of one for sale in great condition?
cheers!
Finally we get to the bass.... Like waiting for a stripper. From what I've heard.NBD: At last, we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi…

It’s (presumably IRL) roadworn, or at least bashed around while playing. I need to get back to work, but am stoked to tune it up and play it. It feels light.

Looks great, Miles! Congratulations! Don't know what kind of pickups were in those, but they look to be in the (or close to) original locations. Location, location, location.
I suggest you learn this one:Yeah. We do that one. Crowd likes-and requests it.
Addendum: As previously stated, our "normal"(?) crowd is 55+y/o. A lotta the songs many of you play don't interest our audience. They wanna hear the [stuff]they listened to in their younger dating, dancing, and school
days. Saves us having to learn the latest 'flash in the pan' POS. Although we did get 1(one!)request for some Ed Sheeran. Nope.
Just beautiful!NBD: At last, we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi…

I have one and oddly enough, I don't like it all that much. Everyone else love 'em. Mine was built sometime in 2017 and is black. But, don't take what I say as normal. I actually like the reissues, meaning after 1988, a whole lot. I played Veronica's '76 at one point and didn't like it as much as the newer ones. I have played her '64 and think it really is all that and a bag of chips, but given the choice, I would swipe her Lull and leave the '64 behind. So, whatever I say, do something different and you will be just fine.In the meantime, I am gassing for another Tbird to feel more comfortable taking out and about. How do you guys here like the Epiphone Vintage Pro model from about 5 years ago?
TB+ pickups have been a lot of different things over the years. The pickups in my 2001 are spectacular. The whole thing is just another Thunderbird to look at, but there's something just a little different about it. The pickups that were in the 1991 were who knows what. They are epoxied into the plastic covers and all you can tell is that they are in there somewhere. The epoxy surface is just shiny black. I don't know what's in there. They could be almost anything. Will be sure to post my thoughts when they are installed. I’m not 100% sure if they’re the TB+, they’re pretty nondescript.
Thanks. I’m excited. The only one I played at Veronica’s that I like better was the 64(?) Gibson.Just beautiful!
This?
I may be selling my burst VP in a few weeks. We’ll see!Not sure where you live. There has been one in York PA on Facebook Marketplace for several weeks at $600. It's black.

That is beautiful!Man, Gibson’s Candy apple blue with gold hardware is my favorite combo ever. I had a Custom Shop ES 345 ordered that way but they got some of my other requests wrong so I didn’t keep it.

You scored!Probably.....but I may have to start stacking, I'm getting low on room. Especially if I get each of them their own cab....
Yeah, I'm looking forward to comparing them both to the other three.
I only went (to Chico) for the Peavey, but he threw in the Acoustic too, just to be rid of it, it seems![]()
So I'm guessing the prognosis is they will appreciate?
