Great song and playing!

This is kind of along the lines of what I'm thinking. I think. It's there, but only if you listen closely and isn't trying to sound like a really lowend distorted guitar.

Bullets! Yeah, love the bass playing in ths one. Straight uppercut to the jaw of your raunchy pocket sensibilities.

I'm letting the 67 NR a rest for awhile(it's still my number one-always will be). Prolly take it to the shop after 1/1 to have a little check-up; maybe look into whether the 'superfluous' pup pot is kaput. I have neither the skills or the equipment to do it myself. So temporarily, at least, these will be-left to right-my backup and stage basses.

Unbelievably, I've been recently discovering how easy it is to actually play the bass. For years, years I say, I bore down hard to play, the fiercer the line the worse I dug in. To the point I have done some damage that I have to look after now- though to be fair, I did the same with physical labor.
I'm changing both of those ideas now, finally. I have always had a hard head...

I'm in a stoner/doom/riff-rock band lately, and discovering how easy it is to lay it onto the frets... relaxing instead of tensing up, understanding that I'm already able and don't need to "develop" what I am... Just play the thing. Enjoy what you discover, keep it in the fun zone, nothing to prove. It is liberating.
And let the amp do the push-ups.

Excellent. Can't wait for a gig report with the Embassy.

So far, I'm digging the variety of tones I get outta those ProBuckers. I'm using the BLEND to add a bit of the bridge pup. Easy to dial in/out.
Next gig is 1/7.We had our NYE gig cancelled, too late to find another.:banghead: Guess I'll stay home and watch hockey/football.
And drink.:smug:

Yeah. One of the (many) things I’ve been working on is playing with a lighter touch unless the song demands a more aggressive attack.
