@PillO - you out there? We need more wit and wisdom around these parts.
Can’t comment on the Nikki model but the new Gibson NR is much more along the lines of a modern Gibson than the VP.

I saw a player with a Fender V and one of those when I was 16 at a neighboring high school. Haven't seen either one in person since.

I put some La Bella DTB on my NR last week, sounds good, not sure if I'll keep them on, but nice and smooth and very articulate with a pick.

Some band popped up in my youtube suggestions. They sound pretty good. Bass player, whoever he is makes the band.
