Pencil neck geek! Try a new NR? Those necks are deeper and wider than Reverse T-Birds, at least mine, I think the nut is 1.6.

is that the place across the street from the elephants? what’s the place called, if that one there was a great bassist last I went there (pre-covid)…..she was playing an old P into a V4 and her tone delish….
great pics G!
I tend to like baseball bats, but it is about the shape more than the size. A wide, flat neck like a wide Fender neck isn't as good as a round neck like a Thunderbird. The upright has a log of a neck, and I love it. Bolt-on Thunderbirds had big, round necks for a while, and I like those a lot. A soft V neck is even better, but those are vanishingly rare.
yep, that’s it….Not sure what "the elephants" refers to... across the street is a big parking lot and a Golden Gate Transit building. It's on the land side of Bridgeway. You would easily miss it driving by - I've passed it many hundreds of times on my bike over the years. I just learned of it recently.

Likely was worried about the headstock doing that thing that they do so well...!I think I read somewhere that Entwistle thought the original necks were too small or something.
We're almost always within ~12'-dance floor-of the audience. With a 25' cable, I'd be at the first table. That's what long instrument cables (or wireless rigs) are for.
"Yeah, I know a couple of Ed Sheerans. You mean the guy at the gas station or the one who owns a hardware store? Oh, wait. The homeless one near the VA hospital?"
1967. I'm not used to the ones with wood edges. What year is your T-Bird? The only ones I ever see are the ones with the wood edges like this?

BTDT. 'Cept not in church.Victor is also on the "there are no wrong notes" train. In many cases you can just treat it as a passing note and do something with it. Yesterday during rehearsal before church, we got several key changes (different leader, different vocal range). The easiest one was transposing from E to A; I just played everything one string higher. Until I didn't.[1] But I finished that verse five half steps low, and it sounded fine and intentional.
[1] This is a song we play frequently; I know it by heart. I got a little too into it and my muscle memory went into Total Recall mode.
