Tea is pretty low risk. Try it in the morning in place of coffee.
One thing I found with my Mesa rig. Set gain and volume on the amp up high. Use the volume control on the bass to control volume. It works great for me. YMMV.See, that's the thing, kind of a Catch-22. If I'm playing a large venue with good FOH like those shots I just posted, the soundman doesn't really need or want me to be all that loud because it spoils the mix out front - Thus, I can't turn the GK up enough to really get it to sound good. Basically the same applies at the smaller venues we play that have FOH.
The Trace Elliott has great tone when I use it upstairs in the small extra bedroom I use for solo practice and when I have set up in the downstairs rehearsal space ( where you'd sleep if you came to visit) it's got more than enough horses to keep up with the band, is 250 watts considered to be a small amp?
Oh for sure - no way I'm driving to Seattle solo!
Lots of Flavonoids. Lighter roasted coffee is has more benefit than dark, but I prefer darker.I for one, have switched to tea for health reasons. Tea is great.
Have I said how much it’s great you’re back? These little snippets from you are great. I do not need another amp. But that YBA 100 keeps calling. I must resist…..@Chucky Stiletti tube watts or SS watts??
In my mind, 250W is plenty. I find my YBA 100 to be stupid loud at half volume and ridiculously stupid loud at full volume. At half it is shake the house loud and at full it is shake the concrete basement floor loud.*
If you have FoH and IEMs, do you even need an amp on stage? I see so many bands now go ampless these days.
* Might also be commentary on 1970 building standards.
Speak for yourself. No doubt, insurance was a part. I think there were a number of factors.
True.
If more people would just play Thunderbirds. Look at us. None of us need psychological help.
OK, maybe that's not a real strong point.![]()
Uh, please tell me you’re not keeping the J bridge pickup. Not a Fan of j pickups at all. Even in the couple pjs I have.
One more mongo headstock joins the club!I would really like to join the Club. Could I?View attachment 4999276
I'm still a diehard Ric lover.

I'm in. Problem is i like certain years they were made, the not, (by todays standards of affordable), so i'm either out or get lucky.
Don't think i fit that term, "get lucky"![]()

This is 7 Cedars Casino, quite large, that part of it will easily hold 500 folks, the stage and sound are totally pro and it just makes you want to play that much better!Awesome! Congratulations! How many people does that venue hold?
Congratulations! It’s been a long time coming. Knowing you and your insistence on doing a great show, it’ll be awesome. Please have someone take some vids with the new lineup. I’m really excited for you V!
So far our shows are out of town but I'm trying to fill the calendar in with some shorter local stuff too, but I really hope you'll come up for a visit anytime. Now if we can just coordinate a NH show during our annual T-Bird "Birds of a Feather" get-together this year in Seattle...
Keep me posted, i'm going to try and scheme on my end.
V, look out.
If it's even possible for me, i'll be landing in Seattle this time.
Long shot though.
Jeff, we need to have a chat on the phone sometime real soon.![]()

I know someone like that. No matter what decision he makes, it goes backwards. We refer to it as the Contra Levine Theory. Just do the opposite and you’ll be fine.I’m so unlucky they call me “lucky Geoff” in the office
