See, that's the thing, kind of a Catch-22. If I'm playing a large venue with good FOH like those shots I just posted, the soundman doesn't really need or want me to be all that loud because it spoils the mix out front - Thus, I can't turn the GK up enough to really get it to sound good. Basically the same applies at the smaller venues we play that have FOH.
The Trace Elliott has great tone when I use it upstairs in the small extra bedroom I use for solo practice and when I have set up in the downstairs rehearsal space ( where you'd sleep if you came to visit) it's got more than enough horses to keep up with the band, is 250 watts considered to be a small amp?

One thing I found with my Mesa rig. Set gain and volume on the amp up high. Use the volume control on the bass to control volume. It works great for me. YMMV.

Lots of Flavonoids. Lighter roasted coffee is has more benefit than dark, but I prefer darker.

In my mind, 250W is plenty. I find my YBA 100 to be stupid loud at half volume and ridiculously stupid loud at full volume. At half it is shake the house loud and at full it is shake the concrete basement floor loud.*

If you have FoH and IEMs, do you even need an amp on stage? I see so many bands now go ampless these days.

You mean to eliminate J bridge pickup or switch to another one?

For now, stock J pickup will be there; but maybe next month I'll switch to a DiMarzio Area J or Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound, leaning more towards the SD.

It would be interesting to have a Precision, with that Jaguar body.

Insanely busy at work today and missed a lot of conversation - Sorry!
I'll say it here and probably a couple more time that Frank and I are planning on traveling to California again sometime this year. When Chucky is back from his trip I'll see about coordinating some dates and we'll get it going.

This is 7 Cedars Casino, quite large, that part of it will easily hold 500 folks, the stage and sound are totally pro and it just makes you want to play that much better!

Congratulations! It’s been a long time coming. Knowing you and your insistence on doing a great show, it’ll be awesome. Please have someone take some vids with the new lineup. I’m really excited for you V!

I'm thinking about some Las Vegas Showgirl hair for that show, at least I won't bump head on the ceiling!

Now if we can just coordinate a NH show during our annual T-Bird "Birds of a Feather" get-together this year in Seattle...

So far our shows are out of town but I'm trying to fill the calendar in with some shorter local stuff too, but I really hope you'll come up for a visit anytime.
