I played through it, awesome rig if i say so myself, JBL loaded too!
Yeah they're very clear almost hifi-like. I used to use mine with an old mono Advent 400 tuner and a tweeter and it sounded great. I have a D-140 in my S model.

Now if we can just coordinate a NH show during our annual T-Bird "Birds of a Feather" get-together this year in Seattle...
I agree wholeheartedly with the on-call counseling idea. Probably not anywhere near impossible to make it happen, and it would also probably change some stats overall in a good way.
I played several Rics circa 2018. I never found one that felt right. Maybe a vintage one or a Greco would work. I’m not in the mood to spend a hole lot of cash. Your Greco Thunderbird I played is great. I’ve added that to the “lookout list.”I’ve actually only briefly played one Ric in a guitar shop probably 20 years ago. It sounded good, IIRC the neck felt incredibly thin (I was mostly playing five strings and precisions back then). But even back then the price seemed a bit high for something that I wasn’t sure I’d even like. A couple of times I’ve been tempted to spring for a nice used Ric, but even then they were more than I’d want to pay for something I’m not sure I’d bond with. The used Grecos are closer to the “test me” price point. If you see a nice clean one at a sweet price PM me, I might be persuaded to try one on for size.
I had that exact camera! The exact same flag sticker....!!Compared to this, maybe.

And then some...Such a great trio. The Who meets Cream, and then some.
Maybe a slim chance i could make that, but i do mean slim.
I did in college. Some was insightful. Some was garbage. I wonder how relevant his writings are to present day.

I would never describe my B15 sound as hi-fi - very chocolatey old-school more like it. That's why I love the 550 Spyder - it sounds more like the Portaflex head than a modern amp. It's kind of what Ashdown is known for.
called “residual magnetism”…just how it leaves the screwdriver you mention….Stick a screwdriver on the back of a speaker. I don't have a lot of practical experience but I did graduate as a tech years ago and understand the theory pretty much although I can't explain it very well.
But…Neo magnets are stronger than Ferrite. My understanding is the speaker mechanism is the same, but a Neo magnet can be smaller for the same magnetic strength.yes, in a conventional speaker you need to magnetize the armature with a current….the NEO magnet is already magnetized (albeit more “weakly”) so it doesn’t need this…… same goes with motors, induction motors (most common electric motor by far) need brushes to keep the rotor magnetized as it rotates…..with NEO, these are no longer needed hence “brushless” motors…..remember, a speaker is nothing more than a motor with a “fixed” rotor….: because these magnets don’t have the same magnetic intensity (flux density) they require more power hence taking the hit in efficiency…..the benefits are worth it however…. lighter speakers and motors that are EMI quieter and don’t require peridiodic brush replacement….

Nothing is set in stone presently... hummm, maybe we should start planning soon...
That’s funny. I sure missed you. So glad you’re back!Sure, we worry about Mexican cartels distributing fentanyl, but we let the Girl Guides run rampant in our neigbourhoods...
purely an intentional scaling thing….gain is gain and remains the same….like amps that go to 11….if you plug a low output Eko bass for example, that “break up” will probably happen past the 10 o’clock mark…Plug a normal output bass into a 70's SVT and it's pretty much at full clear volume at about 10 o'clock, that's the point at which they start to get a little dirty. Every 70's SVT head I've ever owned was like that, it's not my term I picked it up from Ampeg somewhere along the line. They haven't made them like that since the 70's.
