I grew up eating White Castles. Say what you will, I like 'em. In 'n' Out is just another fast food joint to me. My son and daughter in law always demand a stop on the way home when they come to visit. It's a Seattle thing.

The Foreigner album was one of the best ever made. I gave it a listen after decades of not hearing it and was blown away. I forgot how great that first album was.

Yes, that was a great one, my favorite, I loved Ed Gagliardi's Ric bass tone on the first two albums until they threw him out for some reason, very melodic player. My girlfriend at the time used to play this on the jukebox all the time and give me knowing looks, yup it was coming and it was mostly my fault.

In FL, we had Royal Castle(prolly copied WC?). Great little burgers, also did breakfast and had terrific chili. They tried to get more "family oriented" and lost out to BK(which started in Miami, btw). There is now one White Castle in FL, not far from Disney World. Every time I've tried to go there(I'm in Orlando every other week), the effing line of cars is around the block and the line to go inside is around the building. Nope!:rollno:

Indeed. My point was that Rickenbacker with different pickups in same locations will sound like a Rickenbacker but with a different flavor. Just like my hacked J- bass with one pickup not in either J-position won't sound like J-bass at all.

For me strings and technique and amp settings have a bigger effect. I think what most people call "The Rickenbacker sound" is really the "Chris Squire/Rotosound sound", for me if I try hard enough I can get pretty much get any bass to sound like I want it to, I still haven't figured out how to get an EB-0 with old flats to cop the Chris Squire sound yet though.

Loved these guys!

I didn't 'follow' disco, but acknowledge good live performance when I see/hear it. That vid shows people really enjoying being part of that performance - everyone on stage and everyone in the audience. Can't slag that.
