Thunderbird Club

I'm not familiar w/that phrase - what does it refer to?

I had one of these twenty footers in 1978.

I had the Kasino 200 head and 2x15 cab. Same as a Kustom, sans the tuck and roll. Circa ‘73 or ‘74. @GonePlaid still has the combo version, although I think his is an earlier vintage. Loudest amp I’d ever heard at the time (other than ACCs which were way out of my price range). Yep, it was hard to tame in some venues (today a simple HPF would make it a non-issue). High School gyms were the worst. Still, I loved it. It was my sound back in the day.
Mine's a '70. Bought new, still have, still loud.

...oh, so really long excessive '70s land-cruisers. A friend was "gifted" his parents T-bird and I got a ride in it. It was huge! but the interior felt cramped! The epitome of bad design. The late '50s had some huge outrageous designs - but nothing as hideous as '70s cars.

Looks brand spanking new! Nice job.

I’ll be here at least as long as it takes to sort out my wife’s medical challenges. When you’re over 60 there’s a lot to be said for living within an hours drive of some of the best medical facilities in the world.
Yep. USC-Keck Medical Center. UCLA Medical Center. Cedars Sinai. UC Irvine Medical Center. UC San Diego - Scripps. The City of Hope. We are very fortunate.

That's what I assumed, the big problem with 70's cars also was that as the decade went on they became slower and slower and sucked up more and more gas. The Olds I had was very roomy, it was so wide I couldn't reach the passenger door from the driver's seat and it had bucket seats.
