Thunderbird Club

Already got one that color. Another will be Rallye Green eventually. It's probably cheaper just to buy one in a factory color if they have a color you like. But it will probably be the NR colors, which were pretty good, or red, which will also look pretty good. But not what I want exactly. Chucky can vouch for the fact that I have no taste.
Sorry, I meant Rallye Green, not Burgundy Mist Metallic.

:smug:Hey, in light of the recent VP name change, and staying in line with the bicentennial, I could do this…

News from the Epiphone camp. The Vintage Pro will now be called the Thunderbird 64 and some really good new color choices are coming :) Sorry I can't tell you the colors but I already pre ordered one. I was really hoping for a Thunderbird II but I don't think that is going to happen.
Can I assume no lefty?

I have used DistroKid as a distributor of my music to several streaming platforms and only today realized their so-called HyperFollow page and how it works. Basically you can gather all the music links and socisl media links to one page and share that. Which I will do now even 'though I find "pushing" one's music a bit unpleasant. But maybe next week I can share pics of the new VP!

I like the VP well enough. But my arms are too short for it. You tell us you have long Gorilla arms. What is your issue with it Will?
Beats me. I just don't like it as much as the Gibsons. There's nothing specifically bad about it, but it doesn't fit like the Flamingo or 2001 or 2015. Or oddly enough, the Rickenfaker.

I’m almost certain it was TV Silver. It is a very thin coat of paint with a lot of grain showing. It looks more silver under different light. I installed the strings the correct way and they seem ok, even with no wraps. I still need to tweak the TR, about 1/4 turn, and then dial in intonation, adjust the bridge height and pickup height, polish the frets, and clean and oil the FB. Good project for the holiday weekend.

It is a great playing Thunderbird, in very good condition other than the spot on the lower wing. It’s definitely worth getting that repaired.

I’ll add an ebony one and a white one in due course. Then the Limited Edition Custom Shop collection will be complete.

Is it TV Silver cos it shows as silver under 1950s/60s TV lighting? like the TV Yellow showed as white?
OK, that’s backwards isn’t it ? OK I got nuthin. Looks nice though.

McLaren chose that papaya colour for their race cars so they could be spotted more easily on the old tech TV coverage

It isn’t as comfortable for me as my Gibsons or the various six other Epi bolt ons I have. But I’m a small guy. 5’8”, 155. And not the largest wingspan. When I swam competitively, I hated the butterfly.
