Back in the day, I was never that excited about beers. Now that I occasionally drink again, I've tried a few. The only ones I've really liked are (a) Dragon's Milk (11%!) and (b) my friend Mick's IPA that he made for their wedding, and an IPA he made here in Austin working with a local microbrewery. Otherwise they range from meh to no thanks.

My Thunderbirds are all non-drinkers.

I'll bring you some amazing IPAs from NY when I'm there next month.

Guitar SG. Although I have played a Thunderbird through it on occasion just to have a little practice sound. It is better with a guitar and overdrive nicely. And pretty much right away.

I like putting lounge chairs under a coconut tree. Good call on the baseball cap in case the palm umbrella doesn't live up to expectations.

And he had the good sense not to wear a Giants cap. Have I said how much I detest the Giants?

Proof of existence. This is the car that has to visit Chucky and his neighborhood when it is back to being self propelled.

The towel on its nose is for pushing it without doing too much damage. I got the motor in about 10 years ago or maybe 15. Then ran out of time and ran out of patience. It is off to a shop to get way too much money spent on it.

I won't look too different when it is functional again, but it will be very different underneath. I am not looking forward to figuring out how much the wish list will have to get pared down to actually pay for the work.

It's not going to make it to 60F here in Seattle today. I was talking to the woman who works in my office building as part of the maintenance staff about what's happening in the part of Mexico where most of her family live. She said it was over 50C there, and even the people who live there and are used to heat were too hot to do anything except lie around trying to cool off. I doubt a Thunderbird would like that kind of heat very much. The Thunderbirds that live in the Basement of Blasphemy and Bad Ideas have no issues. It's never much above 72F there and never much below about 65F there, being below grade and all. Plus the humidity hardly seems to change, either.

About 7:10am this morning the phone app reported -0.7c ‘feels like’ -3.8c which is about 30F feels like about 25F. That’s well and truly cold enough for me.
(My place is in the SW fringe of Sydney, the inner suburbs don’t get as cold, or as hot in summer mostly)

61 degrees and stunningly beautiful here in the Los Padres National Forest/Pine Mountain Club. I have a nephew who plays soccer in Mexico City. Apparently he’s pretty miserable this week

What did you have in it for a pickup?

Thanks! The pickup was a TB Plus from an LP Standard style Gibson bass. It was "glued" into a chrome cover (from Philly Luthier Supply) with clear silicone. Sounded great!!
