I never should have sold that bass, but I've done some stupid things in my past when it comes to basses! It had a Lull pickup in it when I sold it, it went to a fellow TBer and club member that lives near Barstow ( I hear it's quite nice there!) but he's since sold it as well. It was well before I had the pleasure of making your acquaintance, I had a cherry two pick up one like your as well, sold it too, as they say "The stupid, it burns"
The light blue one is coming along slowly, the new tuners and tail piece were installed last night, it should be sorted out in time to come for a visit

So we are both lazy. I don’t play guitar often enough. I used to play my Aria acoustic all the time. Until about ten years ago when I returned to my first love, bass.
My 45 year old Aria is such a great guitar. I need to stop neglecting it. I’ll order a new set of SITs for it (I’ve used them for years on it, ever since Nashville Straights become unavailable).
Where is your Thunderbird? You need to Get an Epi iV and a small Rumble (the 25 is fine to keep at your daughter’s and son in law’s place).

Back in the day, I was never that excited about beers. Now that I occasionally drink again, I've tried a few. The only ones I've really liked are (a) Dragon's Milk (11%!) and (b) my friend Mick's IPA that he made for their wedding, and an IPA he made here in Austin working with a local microbrewery. Otherwise they range from meh to no thanks.
My Thunderbirds are all non-drinkers.

It probably made sense at the time. There are amps and guitars I regret no longer having (or not buying) but at the time, it was the right thing.
I forgot there was another Nashville Straights lover here! When Bobby at Clarke Music in Atlanta told me they were being discontinued, I bought a dozen packages (all I could afford at the time).
So... I am planning to come to the GTG! Sharon's still deciding whether she want to make the trip. Chuck, would Rosa be up for company part of the time? Or does she hang out with the bass geeks?

Yep - you do what you do because it was what was needed at that time. I have no regrets selling a bass I owned. I bought this '86 Kubicki Ex-Factor in '94. It was black and very played. Compared to what they are going for today - it was affordable. I stripped it, stained it orange, and did a hand applies tung-oil finish and eventually sold it for a profit over 10 yrs ago. It's out there somewhere, hopefully being played.
Not technically a 'regret', but I wish my '63 II wasn't stolen in '78.
Rosa has a wedding (her brother’s
) planned for that time…. she’ll prolly be there some of the time, if half of the GTG is spent in SC (as planned) there’s plenty to do and see…..
