Those are often the kind I prefer to buy.:bag:

I was going to say that many of the ones I have now were like that, but after thinking for a minute, only two were not - one that's 35 years old and 99% like new, and one that's 3.5 months old and was new.
The rest were all known "projects" of varying degrees when I bought them.

Mazda and one of the other Japanese brands have the most breathtaking color of red I’ve ever seen on any production car. It certainly rivals custom painted show cars in the depth and richness of the color. In the sun it just highlights every curve of the car so nicely. I’ve considered requesting that Mazda red as a paint to sample on the next Porsche I buy, much better than Guards Red or Ferrari Red.

As for string silks on saddles, I meant it more as fun tongue in cheek humor. I’ve never actually heard a difference.

The LPB Precision only needed a bit of cleaning. The seven year old Chromes on it are nicely broken in. It’s a great bass.

I still need to restring the Aria acoustic guitar. But I’m feeling a bit strung out, so another day for that.

I also have a Squier Strat that needs attention, but not this weekend. And I still need to get the bridge saddles sorted on the Silvertone. The basses up at the mountain place will get some TLC later, probably in the fall.

No color is better than Pelham Blue.

BTW - that dish would be a Chili 5 way.
Great stuff, (my wife calls it VileCrap). Pretty much a Cincinnati mainstay as a quick break from the office for lunch, in which case if you’re smart you order it dry (drained and not as juicy) so it doesn’t splash or drip on your shirt and tie. My preference was a Chili 4 way, hold the beans (or coney 4 way if I wanted a hotdog and bun instead of spaghetti). Occasionally I’d order the meal inverted, they reverse the order of the contents so the cheese melts better.

They introduced 3-way chili in Chicago just before I exited in '88. I liked it but never had it when I briefly lived in Cincinnati, or since.

I personally don't like the looks of it when it happens. Even used to circumcise the silk a bit. I'm sure it makes some difference, but I did some A/B testing once and couldn't tell any difference, which was a surprise. I know it has to make one, but not enough for me to notice.
