Sweet. But don't make me go all Hemi Superbird.
Those hemis had something of a higher pitch sound that was distinctive on the track.

My boss in the Eighties revealed that he used to have a Super Bee - but got rid of "that gas guzzler" and got a Dodge van. A brown window-less one at that! He got it for work, to be fair. But I was about 3 years removed from selling my Roadrunner, and was having seller's remorse big time. I would've bought it from him - at 1981 used prices...!

Question for those that have bought used from GC and had the item shipped, did you do an in-store inspection? Or, is the return policy so good there’s no need?

Mmmmmm..... Mopars.... there was a donut stand several blocks from my job, and the manager drove a lime green Superbird. Had to be the 440 Six Pack. Makes you wonder, that a guy could afford one of those on a donut manager's salary. Even back in the late 70's. Quite a deal, I'm thinking. Had no qualms about displaying it outside of a donut stand, being his daily driver. The State Farm policy on that had to be something!
Hadn't seen another, in person, until about 8 years ago, in town here. An orange one tooling down the street. I think there was a car meet that weekend. Awesome car, but I never liked the bench seat and column shift auto on some models.

I did an in store.
I've only bought one thing that way. My 2013 white Epiphone Classic. If I recall, the clerk had me look it over, in case there was anything messed up. And then I could back out of the purchase, and get a charge back. Typical GC, they only had 2 pics of the bass. And hardly any description, unlike Reverb. There were some dings. And a low spot on a root area fret. I was okay with that. But the outside of the case was horrible. All the latches were in stages of broken-ness. One was replaced with a backyard gate hasp or something. The case was held shut with a bungee cord. And there were stickers and spray paint letters on it... as if a punk rock bassist owned it. I still went with the purchase - and they knocked 10% off - because the case issue wasn't mentioned. (I've since refurbished the case on my own, with proper latches, and new metal glides). Ugghhh.

Of the many many Mopars I have owned, my 4th one was a ‘68 “Coronet 440” model, said so right there at the rear of each quarter panel. Green on Green stock as could be. False advertising, under the hood was a mere 318…
Had grand plans as a 19 year old, earning just maybe twice minimum wage, with no garage and hardly any tools, but it was going to get a black interior, at least a 383, 727, and some kinda posi rear end. It was, but it didn’t.

I just had a conversation about that guy a couple days ago with a friend. We said he is probably the only person out there that makes that look seem "right". But now I see that V made it work as well
a friend has almost exactly that car (69) and it blows my mind how light they are in relation to their size making watching them accelerate such a treat…..nothing imho beats that styling….they weren’t cheap..

Right after high school, I went through my Mike Brady perm experiment phase. Somewhere there exists a photo of me, maybe my sister has it locked away so I won't destroy it. Happy to report it grew out, and I never did that again. Until my long mohawk right after Y2K, that is.
That was a good vid, good story. I've had EMGs, liked them. Might do that again.
They are very clean sounding, and when I'd push them, they'd start to break up a little- it was a very nice effect. Clean, pushed to a polite kind of crush... And then they'd get a little dirty.
You know, like a good first date.
