But the bolt-on the link leads to that’s in Maryland, with a case and free shipping, isn’t a bad deal. The upper bout ding is easily repaired with a Gluboost color kit. I’d offer $250 and see what happens.

Yikes! Getting ready to leave yesterday morning to add some bass to a friend's Sunday service, and felt the strap lock pin loose. Tried tightening it, and realized with minimal effort was able to pull it out. So glad this didn't happen while playing. Could have ended quite badly. Took the 2014 instead, which sounded awesome as usual. I hope everyone's week is off to a good start.

Yep. Both TV Silver. Went months without seeing one. Then the one I got came up. Now these two. Good deals on both. These are late Limited Edition Custom Shops with the 1.5 nut width. The neck on mine is very nice.

For some reason, I always preferred the hippie/jam band version with Courtney Johnson and Curtis Burch. The live album, “Too Late to Turn Back Now” was on our turntable a lot in in the 80s. And I’ve listened to it again a few times in the last couple of months.

Yes. I've never understood why people say I'm going to BBQ when there is no BBQing going on, just grilling. Every civilized person knows this, right? Words mean things and BBQ is sacred and should not be tossed around carelessly.

I’ve been grilling most everything most of my life. The other night I went to grill a ribeye. But it was 110 outside. So I cooked it in a pan on the stove. I was crushed when my wife told me she liked it better that way than grilled on the BBQ.

The inlays looked like 60s or so Gibson. Back then Washburn was in it's heyday for a lot of instruments. I played a few of their guitars and basses then and thought they were really nice.

I tried and never took to it. Too interested in bass at the time and not disciplined enough to practice.

Bill Sullivan used to make replicas of old Gibsons here in Louisville. Started in his basement and found a lot of players wanted those old Mastertones but without the crazy price those from the 20s and 30s brought, if you could find them. People all over wanted them once word got out. He eventually had a music store not far from our house, which was really nice. They did all the necks for Gibson for a while. One of his sons, took me in the back and on the wall there were replicas of maybe 40 or more(?) necks of all kinds with various inlays they/Gibson offered or used as models for repair necks. Unfortunately he passed away and then the induced housing bubble burst and they eventually closed the store. I believe they still did some work for Gibson.

My brother had a Washburn acoustic guitar that he loved. It went “missing” when he lived in Cupertino in the early eighties. He couldn’t find one to replace it with that he liked as much. He ended up with a Guild that he plays to this day.

You need that NR. You can sell the blue Bach to me to supplement the cost. Not sure who’s in the market for a kidney though.

it’s easier to buy one unfretted, but defretting isn’t too much work.

buy the wood you think looks good, the interwebz bs about wood selection is just like anything else is misquoted by peepholes that haven’t tried anything.

I like wenge for darker wood for neck and board, or even zircote or ebony for the board… none of that dyed all black crap neither, I want to see the natural streaking.

goncalo alves for lighter colour, it has neat streaking and is less boring than maple.

I bought this neck fretted but decided I didn’t need the frets… just to be an environmental dick, I used Brazilian rosewood sapwood for the slot filler… (harvested way before the ban)

Cool, looks like lots of different wood options I wasn’t aware of, just assumed it had to be ebony.
I’ve only owned one fretless and I sold it a few years ago because I wasn’t bonding with the Pedulla ergonomics. Beautiful looking and sounding bass, but just couldn’t sit and play it comfortably. So off she went…

Highly unlikely that Blue NR is going anywhere soon, it was very good at rehearsal Sunday, the only things not completely dialed in are pickup height and string choice.
