Thunderbird Club

Quicker than typing! Maybe not the best explanation, but it was the first. A couple things I might question is grilling doesn't have to be as quick as mentioned, and BBQ sauce is not necessary while cooking--or at all if done right. But if it is used while cooking, he's correct it's at the end of the long process.
Grilling Vs. BBQ — What's the Difference? (If There is One?)
Pork back ribs how my kids like them:

Set out to bring to room temp. Liberally rub in kosher salt, pepper, paprika and a little bit of garlic powder. Grill in a rack on the Weber three burner gas grill on indirect heat (middle burner off) at 275 for an hour. Rearrange in the rack so sides are turned in opposite direction. Cook at 275 for another hour. Check and make sure they’re not cooking too fast. If they are, turn off one burner. Cook for another half hour. Then sauce with your preferred BBQ sauce, ten minutes a side. Let rest while eating your salad then dig in. Usually served with fries, corn on the cob and garlic bread or cornbread. Sometimes with a side of beans, either Santa Maria style pinquito or chili beans.

:thumbsup: that first one is by far one of my fave bass shapes (Hamer)….

It's been the bass I have touched the most in the past 4 months.

a couple years ago gibson had a 30" scale DC out and I was going to get one, but I don't like 30" scale so I made my own.

21 NR pickup, no nonsense....

DC treble geetars are my favorites too... or at the very least 17th to 19th fret strap button location.....

Cool background vid on Rob Turner of EMG fame. Guitar oriented but really interesting as we all use pu's. I have EMG pu's in two of my basses; 9v low impedance EMGX J pu's in my Supersonic, and a Geezer Butler passive P in my Glam PJ. Great sounding pu's.

Is that the one where he talks about John Caruthers? He and John go way back. John wants me to put EMG’s in one of my Thunderbirds.

What J pup do you use in the PJ?

French pan fried, can’t go wrong….marinate in red (Bourgogne preferably) wine overnight, pat dry, fry in unsalted butter with salt and pepper to taste….winner everytime…

If it's a thicker cut, do you "finish" in the oven?

This guy! :D

That guy in the Neil Young shirt didn’t know the picture was being taken.

If we have time, we need to stop by that Capitola beer bar for a pint. I’m positive that lady there will remember us.

I’m running EMG pickups in my 73 Rick.
It’s set up with an 18 volt power system under the hood.
They would hate me over at the Rickenbacker Club. :)
This thing screams BTW.
