I wouldn't trade it, but have no intention of going through it again. I've had at least one dog all but maybe 9 months of my entire life. Just don't want to do the end part again. It's kind of like waiting for and watching a plane crash and you can't stop it. You just have to wait for the ground.

Which is why my wife after having lived with 1 or more cats for over half a century has said never again. She doesn’t want to go through that pain again.

Our dog is 1,5 years old. She has been very healthy and has provided us lots of joy and exercise too. And a few grey hairs when she has run away...(a hunter at heart and if a rabbit, moose or similar species go near she seems to lose her hearing completely).

After my previous cat died 18 years ago, after only living for 10, and going unexpectedly, with health issues I didn’t catch on to u til it was too late, I felt that way for quite awhile. 13 years later I got Attila and am absolutely crazy about him. He’s 4 now, and the joy he brings to me and my SO can’t be overstated. The only time I yell at him it to remind him the he is obligated to live until I am retired! So this better be a 15 or better year old cat!

At that time our plan is to get a puppy and a kitten that will grow up together. Once I am retired, I will have the time to be the proper dog owner that can take the pooch out for daily walks and so on.

Got it. Those supposedly are a different beast. My 21NR pickups are noticeably darker than my Eppi ProBuckers. But I suspect a large portion of that might be the NR pup placement, which is at least 1/2 pickup width closer to the neck IIRC.

I wonder, has anybody dropped a ProBucker pup into a stock NR neck spot? Or conversely, a NR pup into a stock Eppi neck spot?

I know @godofthunder59 did a Gibby NR pup switch with V for an Eppi VP pup, but I suspect he relocated the neck pup position on his NR when he did the swap.

Would be interesting and very worthwhile to find out just what the voicing difference is between the two pickups when used in the same position with the same strings. If it’s real close then I could easily put up with the eppi ProBuckers at $100 a pair vs the Gibby pups at $400 a pair.

Exactly. Almost 60 for me.

I just hope down the road I don't give in to the first cute thing that wags it's tail at me.

That is Grady's fault as well. His ears all of the sudden stop working at weird times when needed.
