It has been more than 25 years, but I still miss Dick The Cat. We haven't had an animal in the house since because of allergies, but he was amazing. And sorely missed. He only lasted four years.

So, I seriously doubt this bass came from Gibson this way, OTOH the pots are original so this "could" be the correct wiring, I just can't say for certain.
