So
A few(20?)pages back I said I'd had a set of 7ender 7250s on the 67 NR. Nope(my bad). 9050s. Still have 'em in my collection of used strings.
However.
Did a little maintenance on the 67, which required removing the SIT Power Flats(yes, I saved them)so I could correctly treat the fretboard-and polish the bass while I was at it. Decided to try a set of medium tension EBCFs-45/65/80/100 just for S&G. They're on, purple silks and all, tuned-slightly sharp-and sounding good. At least to my questionable hearing ability. Gig Friday night. OJT*.

*on the job testing
Early(premature?)report on the new medium tension EBCFs(2814): I've only played them/it through my practice amp*, but so far I'm digging them. E and A have a bit more clarity and I'm able to roll off some 'highs' and still get the 60s tone I want. Lessee how long they last.
ADDENDUM: I put the installed date on the package.

Didn’t know they came in different tensions. So is the medium tension less tension than the normal EBCFs? Do they feel any faster from a fretting standpoint?

I didn't either 'til I read up on some EBCF specs. Yes, they are less tension than the 2813s(45/65/85/105). They seem to exert a bit less pull on the neck, which is at its TR limit, so action is a tad lower. They've only been on since last night, but so far feel pretty good. AFA faster, that's limited by my aging left hand, which-coincidentally-is the same age as my plucking right hand.

Do they have ID? I'd like to confirm that.

Willy,
That’s looking really cool and very original. I’ve considered doing a finish like that but was always concerned about how to keep the edges from bunching. Did you end up not wrapping the fabric over the edges? I see a slight white burst type edging around the perimeter, is that used to cover any gap where the fabric meets the edge radius? When it’s all done I’d love to see some close up detail shots and maybe some tips on how to successfully do a finish like this.

The Mary Queen of Scots NR is cloth, and I still need to wrap and blend the edges, I have some ideas and just need to implement them. The cloth is a lot thicker so more challenging.

This one was tissue paper and there is some wrinkling, I think if I had 6-8 hands I could have reduced it some, but not completely.

The edges were easy to blend in, but I think if I had sharper edges on the body it could have been nicer. I used a strip of paper to go around the perimeter.

I didn’t want the fugly 7ender sooper wide burst so I used a similar blue and kept it to a minimum.

The 2814’s are smaller gauge on the E (100) and A(80), these are the set I use for any E standard tuned bass I use them on. The 45-105 and 50-105 sets works great for Eb tuning and the 55-110 set does a good job on D standard.

There's also a 50-105 set I tried, but I wasn't thrilled with it(E standard).

Y'all seem to know the EBCFs pretty well. Anybody ever messed with the Rounds?

That's what I threw on my XT5 and I like them so far but the flats sound like they might be the best if both worlds for me.
If you want something similar but a fraction of the price, try SIT Power Flats. I have both.
