Do I remember correctly that the US doesn’t usually do Turkey for Christmas? (Someone told me this some time ago).
Is that because Thanksgiving is only a month before?

I believe familial backgrounds are a factor but I've seen many a Christmas table adorned with a bird.
We do sometimes. Although it’s usually tamales for Christmas Eve and Prime Rib for Christmas Day.

Paella for Christmas Eve and ham for Christmas.
Italians typically indulge in a fish feast on Christmas Eve as an alternative. The main course is usually a variety of seafood dishes, including shrimp, squid or octopus in tomato sauce, stuffed calamari, clams cooked with white wine and garlic, or baked fish.

Glad you have gigs happening. Hopefully you can pick a few more during Xmas season.Gig last night(Elks Club). Relatively small stage. Used the Epi Embassy. Gig tonight(VFW, Hobe Sound). Plenty of room(well, not compared to "The Nasty Habits" stages, but spacious for us). Thunderbird time.

Turkey is traditional here. I think it is in the US as well.
I never cook a whole Turkey for company. Last year I did grilled sirloin.
It was interesting being in the states this week. People kept saying happy Thanksgiving! That was more than a month ago for us.
But then
I thought I’d try the original machine heads and bridge:
I just today replaced the stock Grovers with Gotoh GB350s because the A string Grover was all grindy for years. Finally did something about it. The Gotohs look better and are a little lighter. I never thought the slight difference in weight would make much of a difference, but it's noticeable. And the surprisingly matte finish matches the Hipshot SuperTone better. Very happy with them. I even ordered a second set for the RNR with Philadelphia Luthier's Black Friday sale.
Now if I could only find a lightweight direct drop-in for the BC Rich. I hate the Schaller M4S.
